    Abstract: The invention provides methods for expression of a catalase enzyme in a Trichoderma host cell. In one embodiment, the catR gene from Aspergillus niger is expressed in Trichoderma reesei, resulting in improved yields of catalase enzyme in comparison with expression of catR in A. niger.
