  • Patent number: 11883291
Abstract: Cardiac valve repair devices with coaptation members and multiple clip mechanisms and associated systems and methods are disclosed herein. A cardiac valve repair device configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, an optional fixation member configured to engage tissue within a left atrium proximate to a native mitral valve, a coaptation member depending from the fixation member, and a plurality of clip mechanisms extending from a downstream portion of the coaptation member. The coaptation member can be positioned between the native leaflets and at least partially fill a space between the native leaflets. A first clip mechanism can engage a first portion of one of the native leaflets, and a second clip mechanism can engage another portion of the same native leaflet or an opposing native leaflet.

  • Publication number: 20230248515
Abstract: A prosthetic heart valve device includes a valve support, a prosthetic valve assembly disposed within the valve support, and an anchoring member. The anchoring member includes a base attached to a first region of the valve support, a plurality of arm units projecting laterally outward from the base and inclined in a direction away from the first region in a deployed state, and a fixation structure extending from the arm units. Each arm unit includes a first portion coupled to the base and a second portion coupled to the fixation structure. The fixation structure includes a plurality of struts that define an annular engagement surface configured to press outwardly against a native annulus of a native heart valve. The first portion of each arm unit has a first flexibility greater that a second flexibility of the second portion of each arm unit.

  • Patent number: 11654021
Abstract: A method for treating a native valve of a human heart having a native annulus and native leaflets includes positioning a capsule of a delivery device proximate a native heart valve. The method further includes partially deploying a prosthetic heart valve device from the capsule such that an inflow region of a valve support and an inflow region of a fixation structure are radially expanded. A portion of the prosthetic heart valve device remains coupled to the delivery device while a gap exists between a downstream end of a prosthetic valve disposed within the valve support and a distal terminus of the capsule such that fluid can flow through the prosthetic valve with the prosthetic heart valve device partially deployed. The method may further include recapturing the prosthetic heart valve device within the capsule.
