  • Publication number: 20240031525
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for transmitting Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) content. The systems and methods may use a modified Electro-Optical Transfer Function (EOTF) curve to convert nonlinear color values of SDR content into optical output values of modified SDR content. The systems and methods may encode the modified SDR content using eight bits while preventing banding. The systems and methods may transmit the encoded data to a client device for presentation on a display.

  • Publication number: 20210006835
Abstract: A system and method for utilizing machine learning techniques to modify a visual quality of an area within a frame of video is provided. The method may include receiving one or more video frames of a video stream, receiving a target asset and generating, via a machine learning model, a frame mask identifying an area within the one or more video frames of the video stream that is associated with the target asset, and then modifying a visual quality of the identified area within the one or more video frames based on the frame mask. In some instances, techniques other than or in addition to machine learning techniques may be utilized. For example, template matching techniques may also be used to identify one or more areas for modifying a visual quality.
