    Abstract: A personal warning system is provided having a receiver associated with a target and capable of receiving a signal, a protective area defined by the target's signal reception, an alarm associated with the target's receiver and capable of alerting the target, and a transmitter associated with an offender and capable of transmitting a signal, wherein the target's alarm is activated when the offender's transmitter remains within the protective area for a predetermined elapsed time.
