    Abstract: Carbonaceous nanofibers derived from a one dimensional channeled material having hydrogen adsorbed on the surfaces thereof are disclosed as a well as a method of storing hydrogen in which a plurality of carbonaceous nanofibers derived from a one dimensional channeled material are provided, and the nanofibers are contacted with hydrogen at a temperature and pressure for a time sufficient to adsorb hydrogen thereon.
