  • Publication number: 20240157170
Abstract: A multi-layer portable therapeutic infrared heating system comprises a heating wire layer configured to generate far-infrared radiation (FIR) when the multi-layer portable therapeutic infrared heating system is connected with an alternating current power supply; two charcoal layers positioned on either side of the heating wire layer and configured to absorb extremely low frequency (ELF) radiation associated with the FIR; grounding mechanism configured to transfer the ELF radiation absorbed by the two charcoal layers to a pin and ground the multi-layer portable therapeutic infrared heating system; and a multi-layer mixture layer configured to at least additionally reduce the ELF radiation.

  • Publication number: 20240095530
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods and systems are provided for automatically performing a task on a remote computer. During a registration stage, the system receives personal information of a human user, obtains an IP address and a device configuration for a computing device, and stores the personal information, IP address, and the device configuration in record in a database. The system receives a request to interact with a remote website to perform a task, the request including the personal information of the human user. The system then retrieves the record from the database using the personal information. The system creates a virtual machine based on the device configuration for the computing device, selects one of a geographically distributed set of proxy servers having an IP geographically address resembling the IP address for the computing device, and executes instructions causing the virtual machine to interact with the remote website using the proxy server to perform the task.

  • Publication number: 20240075445
Abstract: Methods of making robust bijels include dispersing metal oxide precursors and/or metal salts into at least one phase of a bijel and hydrolyzing and condensing the metal oxide precursors and/or metal salts in a sol-gel reaction to form sintered bridges between interfacially jammed surface-active nanoparticles. The methods can be used with any bijels, including those produced during solvent transfer-induced phase separation (STRIPS) methods and other methods. A robust bijel includes chemically sintered bridges between the interfacially jammed surface-active nanoparticles. Methods of making nanocatalyst-functionalized sintered bijels include adsorbing metal salts to a surface of sintered interfacially jammed nanoparticles of bijels, and reducing the metal precursors on the surface of the sintered nanoparticles. Nanocatalyst-functionalized sintered bijels include catalytically active metal or metal oxide nanocatalysts on a surface of the sintered interfacially jammed surface-active nanoparticles.

  • Patent number: 10710441
Abstract: A Hail Veil is a hail protection device that attaches to the strongest areas of a vehicle frame to support four rods; one at the very front of the car, one at the back of the car and two on the roof. Mesh is then strategically attached to the front, top, back and sides of the vehicle and fastened to create a barrier to the hail. The Hail Veil is portable and fits into the trunk of the vehicle for quick access.

  • Patent number: 8882762
Abstract: A transmural ablation device is provided to achieve endocardial and epicardial ablation at the same site but directed from the inner and outer surfaces of the heart to create a transmural lesion. By ablating from both sides of the heart tissue, it is possible to increase the depth of the lesion created and to increase the likelihood of a transmural lesion. Embodiments pertain to techniques to align the endocardial and epicardial ablation elements and techniques to position and move the endocardial and epicardial ablation elements along a predefined linear, curvilinear, or circular path. The ability to bring the epicardial and endocardial elements more closely or firmly with the underlying tissue is important in creating optimal lesions. Magnetic force attracts the epicardial and endocardial elements.

  • Publication number: 20120259633
Abstract: A completely hands free exchange of messages, especially in portable devices, is provided through a combination of speech recognition, text-to-speech (TTS), and detection algorithms. An incoming message may be read aloud to a user and the user enabled to respond to the sender with a reply message through audio input upon determining whether the audio interaction mode is proper. Users may also be provided with options for responding in a different communication mode (e.g., a call) or perform other actions. Users may further be enabled to initiate a message exchange using natural language.
