  • Publication number: 20160031760
Abstract: The use of a binder system comprising compounds containing aluminium oxide and silicon oxide for producing a hydrophilic building product, characterized in that the sum of the oxides calculated as Al2O3 and SiO2 in the binder system is ?40% by weight, based on the water-free binder system, and the contact angle of an oil drop placed on the surface of the cured building product is ?90°, where the contact angle determination is carried out under water, is proposed. The said hydrophilicity makes the building product easy to clean, with simple rinsing with water often being sufficient.
    Type: Application
    Filed: October 14, 2015
    Publication date: February 4, 2016
Inventors: Uwe GEHRIG, Florian ELLENRIEDER, Michael MELCHART, Joachim RIEDMILLER, Steffen WACHE, Mathias DEGENKOLB, Michael KUTSCHERA, Katja VOLAND

  • Publication number: 20120240825
Abstract: The invention relates to mixtures containing alkali-activatable aluminosilicate binders, characterized in that the mixture contains organosiloxane compounds, to the use of organosiloxane compounds for reducing shrinkage in alkali-activatable aluminosilicate binders and to the use for hydrophobization of alkali-activatable aluminosilicate binders. The invention furthermore relates to joint mortars, levelling compounds or coatings which contain the mixtures according to the invention.

  • Patent number: 8118931
Abstract: The present invention relates to building material mixtures which contain slag sand and zinc salts which have from 0 to 8 carbon atoms in their structure. The invention furthermore relates to the use of zinc salts for preventing discolorations during the hardening of the building material mixtures.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 14, 2009
Date of Patent: February 21, 2012
Assignee: Construction Research & Technology GmbH
