  • Patent number: 10443961
Abstract: In the case of a heat exchanger element for equipping heat exchangers of flue gas cleaning systems of power stations, the heat exchanger element can be formed by a block shaped honeycomb body having four outer faces and two substantially parallel end faces and a sealing edge. The honeycomb body can be manufactured from a plastics material including a plurality of mutually parallel flow channels which are separated from each other by channel walls. The flow channels extend from the one to the other end face, and the sealing edge can be arranged in the region of one of the end faces and substantially parallel to this end face and extends away from the honeycomb body at the periphery of the honeycomb body.

  • Publication number: 20180333669
Abstract: A packing is provided which has an increased corrosion resistance, high chemical resistance, low flow resistance, and an increased service life in comparison with conventional packings, wherein, to this end, it is provided that the packing comprises includes a honeycomb body having first and second end faces, wherein the honeycomb body has a honeycomb structure which has a plurality of flow channels that are arranged substantially in parallel and that are adjacent to each other by means of channel walls, and wherein the honeycomb body is made from a first plastics material based on polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) polymer material. Furthermore, a column is proposed which comprises includes a housing that has at least one inlet, at least one outlet and one or more packings according to the invention which are preferably arranged in a flow path running from the inlet to the outlet, in succession if applicable.

  • Publication number: 20170198981
Abstract: A heat store component for passage of a gas flow, in particular, in heat exchangers of flue gas cleaning systems, is provided, including: a mounting forming an inlet and an outlet side of the heat store component for the gas flow fed therethrough; and a first and a second heat storage medium arranged one behind the other in the gas flow direction and each including a plurality of substantially parallel flow channels. The second heat storage medium is formed from one or more honeycomb blocks, which include a body made in one-piece manner of a plastics material and incorporating a plurality of parallel flow channels separated by channel walls, wherein the plastics material includes a plastic containing virgin polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as a fraction of ca. 80% by weight or more and optionally a high performance polymer differing from the PTFE as a fraction of ca. 20% by weight or less.
