    Abstract: Medical articles include a substrate with a layer of a siloxane-based gel adhesive composition. The gel adhesive composition includes a crosslinked polymeric siloxane matrix, and an extractable polymeric fluid with a weight average molecular weight greater than 275,000 grams/mole. The extractable polymeric fluid is 26-80 weight % of the gel adhesive composition. The gel adhesive composition may also include a siloxane tackifying resin.
