  • Publication number: 20240042392
Abstract: A method for providing an integrity test of a double filter capsule can include providing the double filter capsule in such a way that in a filtration process the medium to be filtered flows in its flow direction from an upstream chamber in the housing through a first filter into an intermediate chamber between the first filter and a second filter and then through the second filter to an outlet. The housing can have an upstream-chamber access point for feeding a test fluid into the upstream chamber and an intermediate-chamber access point for feeding the test fluid into the intermediate chamber. Additional steps can include providing a connecting line between the upstream-chamber access point and the intermediate-chamber access point and determining the state of integrity of the double filter capsule on the basis of at least two test phases.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a computer-aided method for generating training data for a neural network used to determine a pollutant concentration from a pollutant emission. The method may include: providing a first series of the pollutant concentration with one reading above a defined threshold value; providing a second series for a physical measured variable related to the pollutant concentration; providing a model for a relationship between the two; computing a first value of the pollutant emission with the model using a value of the measured variable related to a value of the pollutant concentration; computing a second value of the pollutant emission with the model by numerically altering the measured value of the measured variable; and generating a synthetic measurement series as training data using an alteration of the value of the measured series, using the relative change in the computed values of the pollutant emissions.

  • Publication number: 20130196380
Abstract: An in vitro process for the preparation of antibodies of the IgG type, comprising the steps of: i. challenging dendritic cells obtained from a donor with an antigen against which the antibodies to be prepared are directed; ii. challenging CD4+ T cells obtained from the same donor with fragments of the antigen presented by the dendritic cells from step L, with the proviso that the dendritic cells are ones essentially not secreting interferon-? (IFN-?) and interleukin 12 (IL-12), to generate antigen-specific CD4+ Th2 cells; iii. challenging with the antigen a B cell population obtained from the same donor and including a sufficient proportion of naive B cells; and iv. contacting the antigen-specific CD4+ Th2 cells according to ii. with at least a fraction of the B cell population from iii. to form an antigen-specific plasma cell; v. immortalizing said antigen-specific plasma cell; and vi. isolating the IgG antibodies formed by said antigen-specific plasma cell.

  • Publication number: 20090214380
Abstract: The present invention relates to a copper alloy, in particular for components which carry media or drinking water, in particular fittings, valves or compression joints and also an advantageous use of the copper alloy and components for lines carrying media or drinking water. It is an object of the present invention to provide a copper alloy which has good corrosion resistance, good castability and mechanical workability and also good mechanical properties and displays good migration values, particularly in respect of the migration of lead and nickel ions into drinking water. The copper alloy provided for this purpose by the present invention comprises from 2% by weight to 4.5% by weight of silicon, from 1 to 15% by weight of zinc and from 0.05% by weight to 2% by weight of manganese. Furthermore, from 0.05 to 0.4% by weight of aluminium and from 0.05 to 2% by weight of tin can optionally be present. As balance, the copper alloy contains copper and unavoidable impurities.

  • Publication number: 20080270939
Abstract: A network usage history associated with a user is obtained (202). The network usage history includes information relating to a first usage and a second usage of the network by the user. A graphical representation is formed that distinguishes the first usage and the second usage of the at least one network by the user and characterizes the first usage and the second usage (204). The graphical representation is presented to the user at the mobile station (206). Interactive navigation through the graphical representation presented to the user is facilitated in order to obtain information relating to a contact of the user and enable communication with the contact (208).

  • Publication number: 20080146416
Abstract: A system for generating a user activity feedback comprises a sensor device (101) and a user device (103). The sensor device (101) comprises a force sensor (105, 107) which determines a measured force distribution resulting from a user activity, such as a sporting or exercise activity. A transmitter (109) transmits the measured force distribution to the user device (103) where a receiver (111) receives the measured force distribution. A context data processor (115) provides context data for the user, such as e.g. environment data or activity equipment data. A target processor (117) determines a target force distribution for the user activity in response to the context data and a feedback processor (113) generates the user activity feedback in response to the measured force distribution and the target force distribution. The user device can then present the user activity feedback to the user, e.g. as a real time audio signal suggesting performance corrections that can be made by the user.
