    Abstract: The invention relates to a nail lacquer for treating onychomycosis, comprised of a film-forming agent, an antimycotically active substance, and urea, wherewith the antimycotically active substance and the urea are liberated from the lacquer when the lacquer is applied. A preferred formulation comprises cellulose derivative(s) as film former(s), clotrimazole as the antimycotic (present in the amount of 5-30 wt. % based on the weight of the non-volatile components), urea (present in the amount of 15-60 wt. % based on the weight of the non-volatile components), and dibutyl phthalate as a plasticizer, in a solvent mixture comprised of acetone and ethanol.
