  • Patent number: 11805165
Abstract: Content items are provided to users and their interactions with the provided content items are recorded in respective user profiles. The users' interactions thus recorded over time are analyzed to determine if the users have a balanced information intake. A reading habit score is determined for a user based various criteria. The user's reading habit score is analyzed to determine if the user's habits indicate a balance in the user's content consumption. • Patent number: 10967248
Abstract: Methods and systems that facilitate generating and presenting a crossword puzzle. Methods include obtaining, from a content source, a plurality of data items. Using the plurality of data items, a dictionary of clue-word pairs are generated. A crossword layout is generated using a random crossword layout generator. The generated crossword layout is input to a model that outputs a likelihood that the input crossword layout results in a valid crossword. If the likelihood that the crossword layout results in a valid crossword puzzle satisfies a first threshold, a plurality of words in a set of clue-word pairs from among the plurality of clue-word pairs is inserted into the crossword layout. If the plurality of words inserted into the crossword layout results in a valid crossword puzzle, the crossword puzzle is provided to a user on a user device using the set of clue-word pairs.

  • Publication number: 20160147509
Abstract: Method, system, and programs for providing a user interface are disclosed. In one example, a plurality of candidate user interfaces is determined. Each candidate user interface is associated with one or more parameters related to a user interface. Each of the plurality of candidate user interfaces is provided to a subset of users selected from the plurality of users. Inputs are obtained from the plurality of users with respect to each of the plurality of candidate user interfaces. One or more candidate user interfaces are selected from the plurality of candidate user interfaces based on the inputs. A new candidate user interface is generated based on the selected one or more candidate user interfaces. A user interface is identified based on the new candidate user interface and the selected one or more candidate user interfaces. The identified user interface is provided to the plurality of users.
