  • Patent number: 4292353
Abstract: A laminate having excellent flameproofing and low-smoke development is disclosed. The laminate comprises an urethane modified polyisocyanurate foam as a core material and an aluminum foil or sheet as a surface material piled on at least one surface of the foam through a self-adhesion of the foam and passes Grade 2 incombustibility according to Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) A-1321 combustion test.

  • Patent number: 4189541
Abstract: Polyisocyanurate foams having excellent heat resistance and flame resistance are produced by using no common organic silicone surfactant or using less than 0.2% by weight based on an organic polyisocyanate, of said organic silicone surfactant, when producing a polyisocyanurate foam by reacting an organic polyisocyanate, a blowing agent and a catalyst for trimerizing isocyanate and if necessary a surfactant, a modifier and the other additives.

  • Patent number: 4145318
Abstract: An excellent flame- and smoke-retardant non-shrinkable polyurethane foam is prepared by reacting a polyhydroxyl compound consisting of(A) a polyol having at least two hydroxyl groups and having a molecular weight of from 1,000 to 10,000, and(B) an aliphatic amino alcohol, the amount of which is 2.1 to 8.0 equivalents per hydroxyl group of the polyol (A) with an organic polyisocyanate in the presence of water and/or other blowing agents, catalysts and surfactants. The polyurethane foam thus obtained has high resilience together with an improved S.A.G. factor.
