Abstract: In a thermal printer according to the present invention, a platen can be mounted in a pressed abutted condition against a thermal head by fixing the platen in a state where the platen is pressed toward a thermal head which is fixedly provided, and when the pressed abutted condition is released by the operation of a release lever the platen is floated in a free condition and it can be easily taken out.

Abstract: The invention provides a paper loading device for a printer wherein, when paper is to be loaded onto a platen, in response to operation of a button or a lever with paper set in position, the platen is driven to cause the paper to be loaded thereto, and upon such loading of the paper, a paper bail roller is automatically moved away from the platen. After loading of the paper, the paper bail roller is returned to a position adjacent the platen.

Abstract: An automatic paper sheet supplying apparatus to be used in combination with a paper sheet processing apparatus having a motor, comprises a pair of side plates mounted on the processing apparatus, a plurality of connecting bars connecting the side plates, an automatic long paper sheet supplying apparatus which is mounted on the pair of side plates and receives a rotational force from the motor so as to supply a long paper sheet to the processing apparatus, an output transmitting gear, arranged in the long paper sheet supplying apparatus, for receiving the rotational force from the motor, and an automatic base-sized paper sheet supplying apparatus, detachably mounted on the connecting bars to be supported thereby, for receiving the rotational force from the motor through the output transmitting gear so as to supply basic-sized paper sheets to the processing apparatus when the basic-sized paper sheet supplying apparatus is mounted on the connecting bars.

Abstract: An automatic paper sheet supplying apparatus for supplying paper sheets one after another, via a first guide surface of a first stationary guide which extends into a paper sheet processer with which the supplying apparatus is combined. The sheets are fed from a sheet holding unit to the processor. A processed paper sheet is led via a passage between the second guide surface of the first guide and a second stationary guide, from the processor to a stacking unit. A movable guide is capable of moving between an open position, at which the entrance of the stacking unit is not covered so as to allow the entering of the processed sheet to the stacking unit, and a closed position, at which the entrance of the stacking unit is covered so as to disturb the processed sheet from entering the stacking unit.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a serial printer for reciprocating a carrier along a platen by means of a wire, wherein the wire is connected to a wire retainer, which is a member separated from the carrier, to form a wire route, the carrier being detachably mounted on the wire retainer whereby the carrier may be removed with the wire remained stretched. Maintenance, checking and repair are easily accomplished and initial assembling is accomplished in a very simple manner.
