  • Publication number: 20210087430
Abstract: A coat-forming composition according to the present invention can form a coating film having excellent water repellency, water slidability, and the like, and is useful because the coat-forming composition can provide a coating layer by being applied to, for example, a substrate such as various metal steel sheets, a coated metal steel sheet, glass, ceramics, a resin, or the like. A coat-forming composition containing: per 100 parts by mass of component (A): a polysilazane compound, 10 to 90 parts by mass of component (B): a reactive silicone oil having a functional group selected from a carbinol group, an amino group, an epoxy group, and a mercapto group only at one end of a molecular chain; 250 to 2500 parts by mass of component (C): a solvent or a diluent; and a catalytic amount of component (D): a hydrolysis catalyst.

  • Publication number: 20190211225
Abstract: Desired are thin coating layers for imparting excellent water repellency, excellent water slipperiness, and satisfactory coating-film durability especially to metallic, coating, or resinous surfaces of automotive bodies or train vehicles. The present invention was able to solve the problem by using a coating material composition having a specific makeup. The coating material composition of the present invention comprises 1 part by mass of silica particles (a), 0.01-1.8 parts by mass of a reactive silicone oligomer (b), 0.05-10 parts by mass of a given silicate compound (c), and 30-300 parts by mass of an organic solvent (e) and further contains an organic acid compound (d) in an amount of 0.001-0.5 parts by mass per part by mass of the sum of components (b) and (c).

  • Patent number: 6235861
Abstract: An addition-curing organopolysiloxane composition which has excellent shelf stability around room temperature, rapidly cures by moderate ultraviolet irradiation or heating, and is suitable for use as the one solution type. A reaction inhibitor is added to the composition comprising an alkenylated organopolysiloxane, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, and a platinum catalyst. The inhibitor is a thiophene compound, an isocyanide compound, a cyclic thioether compound, a cyclic azo ether compound, an imino compound, or a polymer which has, in the molecule, functional groups each containing one or more sulfur, nitrogen, or phosphorus atoms and has an average molecular weight of 1,000 to 200,000, and which is capable of forming a complex with a platinum atom.

  • Patent number: 6146789
Abstract: In a battery in which a metallic battery case for accommodating electricity-generating elements also serves as an electrode, a visible-light or near-infrared-light curing resin is used for providing a coating to insulate an end face and a peripheral edge portion of an opening portion of the battery case or a gap between a positive electrode and a negative electrode. The visible-light or near-infrared-light curing resin excels in a depth-curing characteristic as compared with a conventional ultraviolet curing resin, and cures well even up to a portion such as an insulating seal of a battery where a light-receiving port is light and the light is difficult to reach. Hence, the visible-light or near-infrared-light curing resin is prevented from becoming peeled off and provides a reliable insulting characteristic.

  • Patent number: 5556292
Abstract: A cable connector includes a plug for connecting a coaxial cable to an electronic device such as a television or video cassette recorder. The plug includes a sleeve that connects with a first grounding terminal of a receptacle. An outer diameter of the sleeve is dimensioned to provide a good unstressed interference fit with the first grounding terminal. The sleeve has slits in a portion to permit elastic deformation when connecting with a second grounding terminal having an inner diameter less than that of the first grounding terminal. These slits permit the sleeve to compress sufficiently to form an interference fit inside the second grounding terminal. When both the first grounding terminal of the receptacle and the sleeve of the plug are dimensioned for the PAL format, and the second grounding terminal is dimensioned for the SECAM format, the plug fits either grounding terminal.
