    Abstract: The present invention provides a die forged stud link chain which comprises substantially .theta.-shaped complete stud links (1) (FIG. 2) formed by means of die forging and substantially .epsilon.- shaped semi-finished stud links (2) (FIG. 3) feasible to be formed into a exceeding 45.degree.. The stud link chain can be produced mainly by using a die forging process and a minimum welding process, so that a decrease in the shearing stress applied to the shoulder part due to bending can be avoided. Further, steel materials superior in decrease of the shearing stress and in the tensile strength can be employed. The resulting stud link chain is lightweight and superior in resistance to fatigue failure.
