Abstract: A waist protection member comprises a primary chamber (33) to be placed against at least an area of the human body surface in correspondence to a greater trochanter (1a) of a femur (1), and is fined with a gel-like substance (32). The waist protection member also comprises at least two auxiliary chambers (34) which are vertically juxtaposed to be placed against an area of the human body surface forwardly of the area covered with the primary chamber (33), and which are each filled with the gel-like substance (32) and have a smaller contact area with the human body than does the primary chamber.

Abstract: A flocked member having a base and a flock and characterized in that the flock is formed by filaments comprising a resin composition (E) or yarns comprising the filament, the resin composition (E) comprising per 100 parts by weight thereof:(1) 90 to 2 parts byweight of a modified polyethylene composition (C) in the form of a mixture which includes 90 to 10 wt. % of a ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (A) having an intrisic viscosity (.eta.) of at least 6 dl/g, and 10 to 90 wt. % of a polyethylene (B) having an intrinsic viscosity (.eta.) of 0.1 to 5 dl/g, at least one of the polyethylene (A) and the polyethylene (B) having been modified with at least one modifying monomer sclected from among unsaturated carboxylic acids and derivatives thereof, and(2) 10 to 98 parts by weight of a polyamide (D).

Abstract: A slidable member holding device having a flock portion for contact with a member slidable relative thereto. The flock portion comprises a yarn including as its components at least two kinds of filaments having different thicknesses, and is improved in slipping property, abrasion resistance and durability.
