  • Patent number: 6889677
Abstract: A capacitor discharge ignition device for an internal combustion engine including an ignition capacitor that is charged with a positive half cycle of an output voltage of an exciter coil, a thyristor that is triggered by a negative half cycle of an output voltage of the exciter coil when the internal combustion engine is ignited to discharge charges stored in the ignition capacitor through a primary coil of an ignition coil, and a reverse bias circuit that applies a reverse bias voltage between a gate and a cathode of the thyristor when a current flowing from the exciter coil through the thyristor is detected and when a charging current of the ignition capacitor is detected.

  • Patent number: 5938416
Abstract: A liquid transfer pump includes a housing having an inner space, a cross head disposed in the inner space of the housing and attached to a driving mechanism to reciprocate inside the housing, a plunger attached to and held by a plunger holder of the cross head, and a pump head situated near the cross head. The pump head includes a pump chamber with an inlet path and an outlet path, and the plunger is disposed in the pump chamber to be reciprocated therein together with the cross head. A resilient O-ring is disposed in the plunger holder, and a plunger seal is disposed in the pump head, wherein one side of the plunger is engaged with and held by the resilient O-ring and the other side of the plunger is engaged with and held by the plunger seal. Accordingly, the plunger can be flexibly supported by the O-ring and the plunger seal. The plunger seal can be used for a long time without leakage.

  • Patent number: 5906259
Abstract: A parking rod for a parking lock device of an automatic transmission comprises a straight-shaped parking rod main body portion, and an applied force transmitting portion formed continuously at the base portion side of the parking rod main body portion. The applied force transmitting portion is formed flat and has a linking portion arranged at the base portion side formed to curve so as to engage with the linking portion at the transmission mechanism side for transmitting the applied force from the shift lever.

  • Patent number: 4806839
Abstract: A hermetic box contains a motor and a self reset type protector which interrupts the supply of electric power to the motor when an abnormally heated condition takes place in the hermetic box and automatically supplies again the electric power when the abnormally heated condition ceases. The motor is energized by an inverter having AC output terminals connected to the motor outside of the hermetic box. A current detector which detects that no current is flowing into the motor is provided on the output side of the inverter outside for a hermetic box.

  • Patent number: 4448692
Abstract: A liquid chromatograph comprising a reciprocating single plunger pump having a pair of check valves; a solvent supply passage, from the outlet check valve of the pump to a column; a driver means for the plunger of the pump; a control means for controlling the velocity of the plunger; the control means comprising a pressure detecting means disposed in the solvent supply passage, a memory means for storing a pressure signal obtained from the detecting means at a predetermined point between the initiation and termination of the suction, and a comparator means for comparing the stored pressure signal with a signal indicating a pressure which is derived from the pressure detecting means; the signal produced from the comparator means allowing the velocity at which the plunger is moved for delivery from the initiation of delivery stroke until the outlet pressure of the pump reaches the pressure at the predetermined point to be controlled so that it is greater than a velocity of the plunger set for the subsequent mov
