  • Patent number: 5181484
Abstract: A cam timing control device in an antomotive engine which used in a valve timing correcting device of a type wherein an electromagnetic force is used to change a cam timing. The cam timing control device is so designed that, in the event that a resistance to the change of the cam timing is high, the length of time during which an electric power is continuously supplied to the electromagnetic coil is prolonged.

  • Patent number: 5064390
Abstract: A coaxial pin array connector comprises a top member having guide holes corresponding to coaxial cables, and an intermediate, conductive member having throughholes, respectively corresponding to and aligned with the guide holes. A bottom, insulative member is provided having first throughholes for admitting signal pins of a circuit board and second throughholes for admitting grounding pins of the circuit board and recesses for receiving power pins of the circuit board. Conductive cylindrical hollow structures are respectively positioned in the throughholes of the intermediate member and extend between the top and bottom members to allow the coaxial cable pins to be admitted from the guide holes to the bottom member and make electrical contact with the signal pins.

  • Patent number: 5027782
Abstract: A fuel control system for an automobile engine includes various sensors for detecting the running conditions of the engine, an injector or injectors for supplying fuel to the engine, and a control unit for reducing or cutting the amount of fuel to be supplied to the engine in response to the sensors at the time of deceleration and for controlling the injectors so that the amount of fuel to be supplied to the engine at the time of removal of deceleration is less than the normal amount corresponding to the running conditions of the engine. The control unit further operates so that the amount of reduction of the fuel supply is less in an engine equipped with an automatic transmission than in an engine equipped with a manual transmission. The control unit also operates so that the initial amount of fuel to be supplied to the engine at the time of removal of deceleration is less in the engine equipped with the manual transmission than in the engine equipped with the automatic transmission.

  • Patent number: 5026306
Abstract: A connector including a housing having a first surface and a plurality of first bores extending from the first surface for respectively receiving coaxial pins. The connector further includes a flat member made of an electrically conductive material and disposed in the housing so as to face the first bores, and first arms are formed from portions of the flat member which are associated one-to-one with the first bores for electrical connection to respective outer conductors of the coaxial pins. The connector further includes a plurality of second bores extending toward the flat member from a second surface of the housing which is opposite to the first surface for respectively receiving ground pins, and second arms formed from portions of the flat member which are associated one-to-one with the second bores for electrical connection to respective ground pins.

  • Patent number: 4805574
Abstract: An ignition timing control system for use in an internal combustion engine equipped with a supercharger, including intake air quantity detecting means for detecting an amount of intake air flowing in an intake air passage defined at the upstream side of the supercharger, engine speed detecting means for detecting the engine speed, ignition timing control means for controlling the ignition timing on the basis of outputs from the intake air quantity detecting means and the engine speed detecting means, intake air condition detecting means for outputting a signal reflecting a substantial pressure of the intake air drawn into a combustion chamber of the engine, and correcting means for correcting the ignition timing in compliance with an output from the intake air condition detecting means.

  • Patent number: 4716871
Abstract: In an intake system having a bypass passage for introducing auxiliary air to the engine, a base amount of auxiliary air is first determined according to the engine operating condition. A target idling speed is calculated according to the engine temperature and the engine load and the target idling speed is compared with the actual engine speed. The base amount of auxiliary air is corrected according to the difference between the target idling speed and the actual engine speed, thereby obtaining a final target amount of auxiliary air. The control amount of the control valve is determined according to the final target amount of auxiliary air referring the final target amount of auxiliary air to the output characteristics of the control valve. Then the control valve is driven on the basis of the control amount.

  • Patent number: 4474197
Abstract: An improved apparatus for transferring coins to a coin counting system, a coin selecting system or the like by way of a coin passage under centrifugal force caused by rotation of a rotary disc is disclosed. The improvement consists in that the rotary disc includes a first surface portion constituting an inside part thereof from which coins are displaced onto the coin passage one after another with a single line of arrangement maintained, a circular boundary wall defining the outer periphery of the first surface portion and having a height appreciably less than the thickness of the smallest coins to be transferred and a second surface portion extending outward of the circular boundary wall in the radial direction. A coin guiding member is disposed so as to allow the coins on the second surface portion to be displaced back onto the first surface portion while the rotary disc rotates.
