    Abstract: A stator for a rotating electric machine includes a stator core and a stator coil. The stator core is formed of a band-shaped steel sheet that is helically bent and laminated. The stator core has slots each opening at an inner periphery of the stator core and spaced from one another in a circumferential direction. The stator coil is formed of electrical conductor segments that are inserted in the slots of the stator core and connected with one another. The band-shaped steel sheet has slits each of which is formed, at a position corresponding to one of the slots, to be open to the corresponding slot. Each of the electrical conductor segments is substantially U-shaped and has a pair of leg portions respectively inserted in corresponding two of the slots of the stator core; the corresponding two slots are circumferentially apart from each other by two or more slot-pitches.

    Abstract: A method of purifying crude pyridine on an industrial scale at low cost and in a simple manner is provided. More specifically, a pyridine purification method including subjecting crude pyridine to an alkali treatment and then to distillation, or a pyridine purification method including adding an acid or water to crude pyridine, and subjecting the resulting mixture to an alkali treatment and then to distillation is provided. According to the purification method of the present invention, crude pyridine can be purified on an industrial scale at low cost and in a simple manner. Moreover, the pyridine purified by this method is useful as a starting material for various organic syntheses because of its high purity. For example, the pyridine can be reacted with chlorine to produce a chlorinated pyridine in a high yield.

The neutron chopper is formed with small size, and neutron guides are easily disposed closely, consequently vacuum leak is hardly occurred in the neutron chopper.

A massaging device main body has a reciprocal drive mechanism that deflects the body plate up and down. The small wall-like protrusions smaller than the third protrusions are provided on the surface of the body plate, and communicating portions communicating the interior with the exterior are provided inside the small wall-like protrusions. A containing portion for shampoo that is communicated with the communicating portions is provided between the massaging device main body and the body plate. A shampoo is applied inside the small wall-like protrusions with the surface of the body plate facing upwardly, and is supplied to the containing portion. The shampoo is whipped correspondingly to the deflection of the body plate while supplied from the communicating portions to perform hair washing and scalp massaging.
