Patent number: 6821103Abstract: A screw is incorporated in a heating barrel, and the tail end of the screw is rotatably supported by the front surface of an intermediate plate. Behind the intermediate plate, two linear motor units are connected in parallel and arranged around the shaft of the screw to form axial symmetry. The output shafts of the linear motor units are connected to the tail end of a driving shaft through a common connecting arm, and the leading end of the driving shaft is fixed to the rear surface of the intermediate plate. Each of the liner motor units is constituted by a plurality of voice coil linear motors connected in parallel. Each of the linear motor units can be independently controlled. Voice-coil linear motors to be used are selected according to the type of product to be manufactured.Type: GrantFiled: October 7, 2002Date of Patent: November 23, 2004Assignee: Toshiba Machines Co., Ltd.Inventors: Harumichi Tokuyama, Makoto Nishizawa, Jun Koike, Akihide Okube, Fumiyuki Katoh, Hiroyuki Onuma, Katsuhito Ogura, Katsuyoshi Kido

Publication number: 20030209824Abstract: A screw is installed in a heating barrel. The rear end of the screw is supported by an intermediate plate via a bearing. The servomotor for charging is connected to a near the rear end of the screw. To the back surface of the intermediate plate, a direct current linear motor for injection is connected via a load cell. The load cell detects the axial direction load applied to the rear end of the screw by the pressure of the molten resin in the heating barrel during charging, and also detects the axial direction load applied to the rear end of the screw for moving the screw forward during injection. The current to be supplied to the DC linear motor is controlled in a feedback manner based on the detected axial direction load, thereby bringing the pressure of the molten resin in the heating barrel closer to a predetermined pattern.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 8, 2003Publication date: November 13, 2003Applicant: TOSHIBA MACHINE CO., LTD.Inventors: Jun Koike, Katsuhito Ogura, Yoshinori Nakanishi, Harumichi Tokuyama, Katsuyoshi Kido

Publication number: 20030185091Abstract: An electric injection molding machine comprises a barrel which holds a screw therein, a voice coil type linear motor which moves the screw in the axial direction thereof. The linear motor has a coil, a yoke extending along the coil, and a magnet movable relatively to the coil in the axial direction thereof. The injection molding machine comprises a coolant passage in the yoke and a cooling device for cooling the coil. Temperature related to the coil or a coolant is detected, and the coolant is control in accordance with the detected temperature.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 28, 2003Publication date: October 2, 2003Applicant: TOSHIBA MACHINE CO., LTD.Inventors: Jun Koike, Hiroyuki Onuma, Katsuhito Ogura, Harumichi Tokuyama, Katsuyoshi Kido, Hajime Kitamura

Patent number: 6411023Abstract: A vacuum processing apparatus performs processing such-as a pattern depiction with a charged beam within a process chamber evacuated to a high vacuum by an ion pump. The vacuum processing apparatus, which makes it possible to prevent the accuracy of the charged beam pattern depiction from being deteriorated by ions and electrons leaking from the ion pump, has a conductor and a voltage applying unit. The conductor is arranged in the vicinity of the suction port of the process chamber communicating with the ion pump such that the conductor is electrically insulated from the process chamber. The voltage applying unit imparts a potential differing from that of the process chamber to the conductor. Because of the potential difference between the conductor and the process chamber, the ions and electrons leaking from the ion pump are reflected or adsorbed by the conductor so as to suppress leakage of the ions and electrons into the process chamber.Type: GrantFiled: February 3, 2000Date of Patent: June 25, 2002Assignee: Toshiba Machine Co., Ltd.Inventors: Katsuhito Ogura, Ryoichi Hirano, Toru Tojo
