  • Patent number: 7641238
Abstract: To provide a wheel fender flap that is less susceptible to swinging during the use thereof and capable of retaining an appealing feature, the wheel fender flap arranged to confront a vehicle wheel, includes a generally elongated flap body supported by a vehicle body structure and a reinforcement member separate from the flap body, but used to increase the rigidity of the flap body.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 18, 2006
Date of Patent: January 5, 2010
    Assignee: Kawasaki Jukogyo Kabushiki Kaisha

  • Patent number: 7568548
Abstract: Disclosed is a motorcycle having a cowling covering an under side thereof in which the cowling can be formed so as to avoid a catalyst while maintaining strength of the cowling, and can maintain a large bank angle and secure the minimum road clearance. The motorcycle is provided with a vehicle body provided with an engine, an exhaust pipe connected to the engine, a catalyst apparatus provided in the exhaust pipe and arranged under the engine, and the cowling covering at least an under portion of the vehicle body. An opening in which an entire peripheral edge portion thereof is formed in a closed hole shape is formed at a position of the cowling corresponding to the catalyst apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7448663
Abstract: A guard structure for a vehicle seat lock includes a cable 54 operatively connecting between a seat locking mechanism (49) for a vehicle seat and a key device (51) adapted to be actuated by a key. The guard structure also includes a guard body (81) for blocking an access from outside of a vehicle body to the cable (54).

  • Patent number: 7331593
Abstract: To provide a rear wheel fender structure for motorcycles, which can be molded with a simplified and inexpensive mold assembly even where the rear wheel finder is so designed and so structured as to permit component parts to be fitted thereto and as to block the splashing of water and/or mud, the rear wheel fender structure 27 is positioned above the motorcycle rear wheel 14 and includes an upper fender 39 and a lower fender 40 secured to a bottom region of the upper fender 39. An adiabatic space 99 is preferably formed between the upper fender 39 and the lower fender 40.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 2006
Date of Patent: February 19, 2008
    Assignee: Kawasaki Jukogyo Kabushiki Kaisha
