Abstract: A content file classifying apparatus includes the following: an obtaining unit obtaining content files; a classifying unit generating, based on additional information on each of the content files obtained by the obtaining unit, classification information showing a category to which each content file belongs; a control unit controlling recording of the content files on a recording medium; and a recording unit recording each of the content files on the recording medium according to the control by the control unit, wherein the control unit causes the recording unit to (i) create, on the recording medium, folders corresponding to categories shown in the classification information, and (ii) record each of the content files in at least one of the folders corresponding to a category to which the content file belongs.

Abstract: In a data recording method for a write-once type recording medium capable of pseudo overwrite, it is judged whether data to be recorded in the write-once type recording medium exists. If it is judged that data exists, it is judged that the data is to be recorded from the next writable address (NWA) indicating the boundary between a recorded area and non-recorded area. If it is judged that the data is to be recorded from the next writable address, the data is recorded from the next writable address; and if it is judged that the data is not to be recorded from the next writable address, recording of the data is suspended. While data to be recorded exists, the aforementioned steps are repeated. If no data to be recorded exists, the data whose recording has been suspended is recorded.

Abstract: A drive icon display device of the present invention includes: a drive connection detecting section for detecting that a drive is connected; a drive identification information obtaining section for obtaining drive identification information about the drive; a drive identification information determining section for determining whether or not the drive stores the dedicated icon; an icon obtaining section for, when it is determined that the drive stores the dedicated icon, obtaining the dedicated icon from the drive, and for, when it is determined that the drive does not store the dedicated icon, obtaining a predetermined icon stored in advance in the drive icon display device; and a display section for displaying on a screen one of the obtained dedicated icon and the obtained predetermined icon.

Abstract: A plant operation apparatus for satisfying a separation criteria includes an operation panel, an operation display screen control device for controlling a display on the operation panel and a touch operation and for selecting a train in a software selection function based on the operation signal from the operation panel, a selection device having momentary push buttons and for resetting other push buttons in a hardware train selection function when an operator pushes one of the push buttons to select a train, and for outputting a control signal to select the train corresponding to the button pushed by the operator. The plant operation apparatus realizes the train selection system having multiplicity, diversity, and independence for satisfying the separation criteria.
