  • Publication number: 20210007570
Abstract: An autonomous traveling type vacuum cleaner capable of cleaning an area closely adjacent to an obstacle of a floor surface, and the control method therefor. A main body includes a front face part formed in a linear shape. A detector detects an obstacle in a traveling direction of the main body. A traveling part makes the front face part of the main body face the obstacle and makes the main body travel to the obstacle, on the basis of the result detected by the detector. A cleaning unit, which is disposed on a front portion of the main body, cleans a cleaning-object surface in the state where the traveling part has made the main body travel to the obstacle.

  • Publication number: 20080291805
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a start-up process performed when information is read from a hybrid disc in which two or more recording layers of different formats are integrally formed, a recording layer is limited to a specific recording layer of the hybrid disc, settings in a start-up state are changed to make it possible to execute the start-up process to read information recorded on the limited recording layer, and in the changed start-up process, information is read from the specific layer of the hybrid disc by an interface conforming to ATAPI, and a start-up time required to display or reproduce a read output is reduced.

  • Patent number: 7057986
Abstract: In a recording stop processing method according to an aspect of this invention, when a recording stop instruction is input and the data size of stream data, which is stored in a storage destination, is smaller than the predetermined data size, dummy data is added to the stream data stored in the storage destination, and the stream data with the dummy data, whose data size becomes equal to the predetermined data size, is DMA-transferred to terminate DMA transfer, thus stopping recording of stream data.

  • Publication number: 20030210899
Abstract: In a replace processing method according to an aspect of this invention, when an error has occurred due to the influence of a defective area during a continuous process of data by a predetermined command to have a predetermined recording destination as a target, the address of the defective area is stored, and the defective area is replaced by another area upon completion of the continuous data process corresponding to the predetermined command.

  • Patent number: 5677801
Abstract: A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus includes a write head for recording a signal on a magnetic recording medium, a recording amplifier for supplying a recording current corresponding to the signal to the write head, a read head for reproducing the signal recorded on the magnetic recording medium, a reproducing amplifier for generating a reproduced current corresponding to the signal, an equalizer for correcting a waveform of a reproduced signal reproduced by the read head, a distortion detector for detecting signal distortion reproduced by the read head, thereby obtaining a distortion evaluation value, and a recording current adjusting section for adjusting a magnitude of the recording current in a direction to decrease the distortion (i.e., in a direction to decrease the recording current) on the basis of a detection output obtained by the distortion detector. An optimum recording current is always supplied to the write head in accordance with the degree of wear of the write head.
