  • Publication number: 20120019175
Abstract: The sealed battery has a battery container (4, 5) and a power generating element sealed inside the battery container. The battery container is provided with a fill opening (12), an annular ridge (16), which extends around the entire circumference of the outer face surrounding the fill opening, and an annular indentation (15) on the inside of the inner wall surface of the annular ridge, and has a sealing cap (8), which fits into the annular indentation and covers the fill opening. The sealing cap is joined by being welded to the inner wall surface of the annular ridge around the entire circumference at the edge thereof. Since heat is not well transferred from the inside to the outside of the outer wall surface of the annular ridge, the effective thermal capacity during welding is mostly determined by the structure of the area inside the outer wall surface of the annular ridge. Consequently, the effective thermal capacity is nearly uniform independent of direction.

  • Publication number: 20100258538
Abstract: A case body (a first member) and a cap member (a second member) that have not been subjected to welding include a protrusion consisting of at least one of a first protrusion that protrudes from a first outer surface and a second protrusion that protrudes from a second outer surface when the case body and the cap member are assembled together such that the first outer surface is flush with the second outer surface. • Publication number: 20100248429
Abstract: In a method for making a semiconductor module, a bump electrode and a recess are formed by etching a copper sheet. An insulating resin layer is formed, in the recess, up to a position lower than the height of the bump electrode, and then a semiconductor device and the copper sheet, including a wiring layer formed integrally with the bump electrode, are press-bonded together. The wiring layer is warped to protrude toward the semiconductor device, which assures the electrical connection between the bump electrodes and device electrodes.

  • Publication number: 20090201226
Abstract: A driving method for a plasma display panel is disclosed in which sustain pulses are alternately applied to a pair of display electrodes of plural discharge cells provided in the plasma display panel to generate a sustain discharge, thereby causing an image to be displayed on the plasma display panel. The sustain pulses include a two-crests discharge voltage waveform having two maximum values in which discharges are generated twice in a half cycle. The driving method includes consecutively applying the two-crests discharge voltage waveforms to the pair of display electrodes; and making a time until the second one of the maximum values of the subsequently applied two-crests discharge voltage waveform is clamped longer than a time until the second one of the maximum values of the initially applied two-crests discharge voltage waveform is clamped.

  • Publication number: 20090201227
Abstract: The plasma display device has a display panel having first and second display electrodes and address electrodes, an electrode drive circuit, and a drive control circuit for controlling the electrode drive circuit. The drive control circuit performs a reset drive control, address drive control and sustain drive control in each subfield. The drive control circuit performs an all cell reset drive control which resets all cells in a first subfield out of the plurality of subfields, and an ON cell reset drive control which resets ON cells in a second subfield. At a first temperature T1, an ultimate potential of an slope pulse of the first display electrode is controlled to be a first potential in the ON cell reset drive control, and at a second temperature T2>T1, the ultimate potential is controlled to be a second potential higher than the first potential.

  • Publication number: 20090201276
Abstract: At an on-cell reset, a positive ramp wave of an ultimate voltage, which is larger than a maximum voltage of a sustain pulse, and smaller than an ultimate voltage of a positive ramp wave applied to a Y electrode at an all-cell reset, is applied to the Y electrode to make a weak discharge occur at a cell where it is non-lighting at a previous sub-field and a wall charge thereof is decreased due to an influence from an adjacent cell, thereby, it makes it possible to return a wall charge state to a normal state, to be capable of lighting a cell to be lighted securely based on a display data.

  • Publication number: 20090135094
Abstract: A plasma display device capable of realizing an interlace drive in one line display and an interlace drive in two lines display by switching thereof without deteriorating display quality, is provided. The interlace drive in one line display and the interlace drive in two lines display are realized such that: the interlace drive in one line display is performed by applying a sustain pulse for even display lines or odd display lines within a plasma display panel in each frame; and the interlace drive in two lines display is performed by applying the sustain pulse while setting the even display lines and the odd display lines adjacent above and below as one set and writing an identical data thereto. In addition, the all-cell reset is performed once per unit time at the interlace drive in two lines display, and an increase of background luminance is prevented by suppressing the increase in the number of times of the all-cell reset in the two lines display.

  • Publication number: 20090058765
Abstract: Between a sustain circuit outputting a sustain pulse and a scan circuit (even) driving a Y electrode of an even display line, there is provided a first switch capable of making the Y electrode of the even display line be in a high impedance state, and between the sustain circuit and a scan circuit (odd) driving a Y electrode of an odd display line, there is provided a second switch capable of making the Y electrode of the odd display line be in the high impedance state. By first and second switches, the Y electrode of the even display line and the Y electrode of the odd display line can be independently controlled to be in the high impedance states, whereby discharge of the even display line can be restrained in a sustain period of an odd frame, while a discharge of the odd display line can be restrained in a sustain period of an even frame, thereby realizing an interlace drive without complicating a circuit configuration.

  • Patent number: 6495950
Abstract: A deflection yoke capable of easily adjusting a member having a pair of magnetic pieces by moving the member to a standard state in the case of correcting misconvergence. According to the deflection yoke of the invention, a member having a pair of magnetic pieces disposed in the horizontal deflection direction is attached to an electron gun side of the deflection yoke. The shape of a part of each of ends of the member coincides with a part of the outer shape of the electron gun side of the deflection yoke. The adjusting person can easily set the member into the standard state by adjusting the parts with his/her fingers. By moving the member in the horizontal direction from such a state, misconvergence can be corrected.
