  • Publication number: 20080269853
Abstract: A thermotherapy device comprises a cup-like housing (1) having a heat radiation opening (1a), a rod-like electric heater (2) contained in the housing (1) with the leading end thereof being directed toward the heat radiation opening (1a), and a controller (3) for supplying power to the electric heater (2) and controlling the amount of heat generation from the electric heater (2). Since the electric heater (2) is employed, replacement of a combustion rod and handling of combustion ash are not required, and the thermotherapy device can be used even in bed. Moreover, power is supplied to the electric heater (2) while regulating the amount of heat generation by means of controller (3). Accordingly, the skin (S) can be heated in safety to a high temperature of 55 to 60 degrees C., and an affected part (A) located on or under the skin (S) can be exposed to a sufficiently high temperature for treatment of cancer.

  • Patent number: 6421938
Abstract: An endless chain provided with groups of cutter elements thereon, for cutting a ditch in the ground, the cutter elements of each group, together being arranged to cut the ground throughout the width of the ditch. In excavating a ditch the cutter is advanced horizontally at a rate such that in the time the chain has moved a distance corresponding to the length of one group of cutter elements, the cutter has moved horizontally by less than the distance by which the cutter bits project from a base plate of the cutter element.

  • Patent number: 5561923
Abstract: An excavating apparatus for excavating a ditch in the ground, the apparatus including a vehicle (2) and a cutter (22), the cutter being attached slidably to upper and lower horizontal guides (7,8) mounted on the vehicle, and having upper and lower hydraulic cylinders (16,18) to move the cutter (22) relative to the upper and lower horizontal guides (7,8). If the angle of the cutter (22) inclines from the vertical it can be corrected by use of the upper and lower hydraulic cylinders (16,18). During the excavation of a ditch the cutter (22) is driven forward by the hydraulic cylinders (16,18) with the vehicle (2) stationary with the result that an accurate ditch can be excavated.

  • Patent number: 5349765
Abstract: An excavator for constructing an underground continuous wall includes an extensible guide post, an endless chain extending around a chain driving wheel provided at the upper portion of the guide post and a chain sprocket at the lower portion of the guide post, and a number of cutter bits and a number of agitator bars alternately arranged on the chain to form an endless chain cutter and a jet pipe provided in the guide post to be connectable to a fluid supply source and having a number of nozzles branched from the jet pipe. The endless chain cutter is detachably fixed to the end of the boom extending from a vehicle traveling on the ground. The endless chain cutter may be vertically movably mounted on the boom so as to be vertically driven by a driving device. The cutter bits are changeable with harder cutter bits according to obstacles in the ground.

  • Patent number: 5257471
Abstract: An excavator for forming an underground continuous wall includes a traveling trolley movable on a ground and an upper frame constructed on the trolley. The excavator further includes a guide post vertically extending and vertically movably provided at one side of the upper frame on the trolley and variable in length by supplementary extension guide post members detachably connectable thereto through flanges. Chain sprockets rotatably provided on the guide post at its upper and lower ends and at one end rearward of the chain sprocket at the upper end of the guide post, respectively. An endless chain extends around the chain sprockets to be driven by rotation of at least one of the chain sprockets. A number of excavator buckets are provided on the endless chain therealong spaced at suitable intervals to form an endless chain bucket type cutter.

  • Patent number: 5244315
Abstract: An excavator for constructing an underground continuous wall includes a traveling trolley movable on rails and having a sprocket in mesh with a rack extended parallelly to the rails and a hydraulic motor for driving the sprocket. The trolley further includes an upper frame arranged thereon and having a tiltable frame tiltable relative to the upper frame and a saddle provided on the tiltable frame slidable on the tiltable frame in directions substantially perpendicular to the rails. An extensible guide post is provided upward and downward movably relative to the tiltable frame. An endless chain extends around a chain driving wheel provided on the saddle and a chain sprocket provided at the lower end of the guide post, and a number of cutter bits and a number of agitator bars are alternately arranged on the endless chain to form an endless chain cutter. A chain driving device is provided for driving the endless chain.
