Patent number: 7685624Abstract: Satellite receiving channel data 810 are described in a network information table (NIT) in a random fashion. Frequencies in the redelivering facility in a community receiving system are arranged in order of increasing frequencies for each of the networks. In a receiver unit, the frequencies 753 of the satellite receiving channel data 810 are rearranged in order of increasing frequencies and are registered to the receiving frequencies 831 in a frequency conversion table 830. The receiver unit selects the frequency according to wire frequencies 822 of a wire channel 821 in a wire frequency table 820 and registers the wire frequency of a channel that can be normally received to a conversion frequency 832 in the frequency conversion table 830. Therefore, the frequency data contained in the broadcast signals before being redelivered are corresponded to the redelivering frequency of signals really transmitted through a cable on the receiver unit side in the community receiving system.Type: GrantFiled: February 12, 2004Date of Patent: March 23, 2010Assignee: Sony CorporationInventor: Katsumi Oishi

Patent number: 7263713Abstract: In a television signal transmission system, CS broadcasting signals received via a master antenna are converted into intermediate frequency signals in an LNB (Low Noise Block Down Converter). The CS intermediate frequency signals then undergo conversion of the modulation format, for example, from QPSK into 64-QAM, so that CS broadcasting signals from each transponder, having a bandwidth of, for example, 27 MHz, are accommodated in a narrower bandwidth, for example, 6 MHz, which is equivalent to one channel of terrestrial broadcasting services. Then, the signals accommodated in the narrower bandwidth is frequency-shifted into a vacant frequency band in the VHF band or the UHF band. Accordingly, the CS signals accommodated in the narrower band and frequency-shifted into the vacant band are multiplexed with terrestrial broadcasting signals in the VHF and UHF bands and BS intermediate frequency signals so that all these signals are delivered to each household via a single cable.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2001Date of Patent: August 28, 2007Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Katsumi Oishi, Keiji Fukuzawa, Kenji Inose

Patent number: 7051355Abstract: In a step S1, when the user executes a tuning operation (a service-number input operation) on an input section, the information is output to a control section. In a step S3, the control section determines whether the service number selected in the step S1 corresponds to a promotion channel. When it is determined that the service number corresponds to a promotion channel, the procedure proceeds to a step S11. In the step S11, the control section displays on the monitor a message indicating that the selected service number is not found.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2000Date of Patent: May 23, 2006Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Kenji Inose, Katsumi Oishi, Hirofumi Yuchi, Haruhiko Yata, Keiichi Kurokawa, Yuichiro Nakamura

Patent number: 6779195Abstract: The MPEG2TS packet S3 as the digital broadcast data is obtained from the ECC decoder. The NIT detecting circuit detects NIT from this packet S3, changes the transmitting frequency information and deletes the information (service information) of the program to be limited for viewing, thereby to obtain the table NITb. The NIT replacing circuit detects NIT from the packet S3 and replaces it to the table NITb, thereby to obtain the MPEG2TS packet S4 as the digital broadcast data in CATV. The digital broadcast signal BS1 for CATV can be obtained by executing the error correction code adding process, modulating process and frequency-converting process to the packet S4. The receiving apparatus for receiving the predetermined program on the basis of the program information of NIT can no longer receive the program in relation to the program information deleted by NIT.Type: GrantFiled: June 7, 1999Date of Patent: August 17, 2004Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Katsumi Oishi, Masakatsu Toyoshima, Keiji Fukuzawa

Patent number: 6687308Abstract: The display section 35 connected to a control section 31 displays, at the same time, both the contents described in the network information table of the digital broadcast data demodulated by a demodulator 42 and complying with the first network, and also the contents described in the network information table of the digital broadcast data replaced by an NIT-replacing circuit 48 and complying with the second network. An NIT-detecting circuit 44 detects an NITa from an MPEG2 transport packet, i.e., digital broadcast data in the satellite broadcasting system (first network). The control section 31 complying with a CATV system (second network) generates the data representing at least the transmission frequency of the NITa detected by the NIT-detecting circuit 44. The NIT-replacing circuit 48 replaces the NITa contained in the MPEG2 transport packet, i.e.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2000Date of Patent: February 3, 2004Assignee: Sony CorporationInventors: Kenji Inose, Katsumi Oishi

Publication number: 20020118608Abstract: Receiver_id[k] (each 16 bits) indicating the ID of a receiver for carrying out reception control and control_status[k] indicating whether reception of digital broadcast signals for redistribution by the receiver having the ID indicated by receiver_id[k] is allowed are set in private_data (680 bits) which is secured beforehand in a TSMF packet as an area which an enterprise for supplying digital broadcast signals for redistribution can arbitrarily use. In a reception device, the reception of digital broadcast signals is controlled on the basis of control_status corresponding to the ID thereof.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 21, 2002Publication date: August 29, 2002Inventor: Katsumi Oishi

Patent number: 6088303Abstract: When a time card is inserted in a time recorder at the time of ending work, a time recorder calculates the hours worked in one day based on the time of starting work on the same day. A control circuit then outputs the data of the new remaining required work hours calculated by subtracting the hours worked in the day from the remaining required work hours stored in a memory circuit, and a printer prints the time corresponding to the data of the new remaining required work hours onto a specific printing column of the time card.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 1994Date of Patent: July 11, 2000Assignee: Seiko Precision Inc.Inventor: Katsumi Oishi

Patent number: 5317547Abstract: When a time card is inserted in a time recorder, for daily flextime, and selection is made of a work starting time column using a printing column selection key, the current time is printed onto a specific location of the work starting time column of the card. The printer time may be a work starting time rounded off in any desired manner. The standard number of work hours is stored in a memory circuit and any break times are added to the standard number to obtain an anticipated work ending time. The anticipated work ending time is displayed on a display unit and/or printed on the card.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1992Date of Patent: May 31, 1994Assignee: Seikosha Co., Ltd.Inventor: Katsumi Oishi
