  • Patent number: 5248949
Abstract: A flat type dielectric filter comprises a substantially U-shaped strip line formed such that each center frequency of spurious output deviates from each odd number frequency times the center frequency of the dielectric filter. That is, it comprises a first portion so curved to form an open loop and two second portions formed to have a larger width than the first portion, each of the second portions being provided to an end of the first portion such that each extends in the opposite direction to the other. In this filter, input/output electrodes confronting ends of U-shaped strip line can be formed on a different layer from the layer where the resonator is formed in order to reduce its size. Reduction of size can be obtained by vertically folding the U-shaped strip line extending horizontally. Terminals of this filter formed on the side surface have a first layer formed on the side surface and a second layer formed on the first layer.

  • Patent number: 4861395
Abstract: Austenitic cast iron has excellent corrosion resisting properties and has been preferentially used in machines or machine parts intended for handling corrosive fluids such as seawater. Cases, however, have been reported of machines or machine parts made of austenitic cast iron failing after they had been put to prolonged service at relatively low temperatures. The present inventors have located stress corrosion cracking at the cause of this failure. In accordance with the present invention, methods of using salt water resisting machines or machine parts made of austenitic cast iron that has graphite in the form of spheroids or nodules and which comprises by weight %: C.ltoreq.3.0, Si=1.0-3.0, Mn.ltoreq.1.5, P.ltoreq.0.08, Ni>24-28%, Cr.ltoreq.5.5 and the balance being Fe to minimize stress corrosion are provided.

  • Patent number: 4812327
Abstract: Emulsion type rust-preventive baking composition which comprises a polymer emulsion such as an aqueous acrylic resin emulsion and a heat-fusible organic filler having a melting or softening point within the range of 40.degree.-250.degree. C. which is higher by at least 10.degree. C. than the lowest film-forming temperature of the polymer emulsion, as incorporated in the polymer emulsion. When the emulsion type rust-preventive baking composition obtained by the mixture is coated on reinforcing steel rods or the like treatment targests and baked, the heat-fusible organic filler melts and fills pores in the rust-preventive coat film, whereby the coat film is rendered close and compact to produce excellent rust-preventive effect.

  • Patent number: 4763560
Abstract: Method and apparatus of controlling and positioning a fluid actuator by supplying pressurized fluid to right and left actuating chambers of the actuator through an on-off control valves. To drive and position the actuator rapidly and accurately, the actuator can be driven at a higher speed by an initial driving force until it reaches near the desired position and continuously moved at a low speed by gradually increasing the fluid pressure to be supplied to the right and left actuating chambers of the actuator. The initial driving force in the high-speed range becomes maximum when the pressure is applied to one of the right and left actuating chambers while at the same time the other actuating chamber is exhausted. In the low-speed range and near the target position, the one actuating chamber is continuously supplied with the pressure while at the same time the other actuating chamber is gradually closed.
