  • Publication number: 20170264768
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a setting unit, a storage unit, a determining unit, and a restart executing unit. The setting unit receives a setting of a time to periodically restart the information processing apparatus from a user. The storage unit stores therein the time received by the setting unit and a predetermined condition used for determination of whether to restart the information processing apparatus at the time. At a time of restarting the information processing apparatus at the time stored in the storage unit, the determining unit makes a decision to execute a restart when an operating state of the information processing apparatus meets the predetermined condition stored in the storage unit. The restart executing unit executes the restart in accordance with the decision made by the determining unit.

  • Patent number: 8472085
Abstract: An image processing device provides a detection result of additional information added to each of pages which constitute a document. The image processing device includes an input part which inputs image data of each page of a document. A detection part generates a page detection result of additional information added to the image data, the page detection result being generated on a page basis and indicating a result of detection of the additional information for each page. A detection result output part outputs an outline result indicating an outline of the page detection results for the respective pages on a document basis, together with an identifier of the document associated with the outline result.

  • Patent number: 7552339
Abstract: An image transmission device is disclosed. When a device user starts to use the device or logs in, authentication is done. If the device user is identified as a customer engineer, the system control part displays operations not permitted to be performed by the customer engineer in a manner different from permitted operations on an operations display part. For instance, the non-permitted operations are displayed at half brightness. The permitted operations may be specified in advance by a user registered as a manager.

  • Patent number: 5809046
Abstract: The current invention generally discloses a method of and a system for adjusting a data receiving machine to a sudden change in the data transmission condition in order to minimize data losses. In order to achieve this goal, a fast adjusting data receiving process or modem is responsive to a sudden hit in a transmission line and corrects the sudden phase error by modifying an error correction coefficient rather than relying upon a slow error correction process based upon an average error detection.
