  • Patent number: 8831693
Abstract: A microphone (130) is fitted with a mounting portion (130a) of a front case (12) in a state being set to a microphone folder (134). A metallic mesh-wise sheet (132) is attached to a front face of the microphone. When an EL sheet (110) on a rear face of the front case emits light by supplying power to it, electrical noise is radiated from the EL sheet. The mesh-wise sheet of the front face of the microphone blocks the electrical noise from the EL sheet, which may enter through a sound hole (131) to the inside of the microphone.

  • Patent number: 6556968
Abstract: By an operation in an operating unit 12, voice recognition, i.e., a process of recognizing voice inputted from a microphone 17, is started. A voice recognizing unit 15 executes the process of recognizing voice inputted from the microphone 18. When the result of recognition is certified, it is displayed on a display unit 13, and a loudspeaker 18 is caused to output the recognition result in voice. To prevent erroneous operation when a wind-breaking sound generated by moving a portable telephone set a handling noise generated by taking hold of the portable telephone set afresh is inputted from the microphone 17 after the start of the voice recognition by the operation in the operating unit, recognition words for preventing erroneous operation due to noise are registered, and voice recognition is automatically started again when a recognition word for preventing erroneous operation due to noise is recognized after the recognition start.

  • Patent number: 5485598
Abstract: A memory device with a redundant disk array. In order to quicken the processing of data writing into the redundant disk array, a first cache memory for accessing the redundant disk array, a second cache memory for storing old data of the first cache memory when the data of the first cache memory are renewed, and a third cache memory for storing old CK data read out of the redundant disk array when the data of the first cache memory are renewed are provided. New CK data are produced from new data for the renewal, old data stored in the second cache memory and old CK data stored in the third cache memory, and the new data for the renewal and the new CK data are stored into data storage means and CK data storage means of the redundant disk array.

  • Patent number: 5043556
Abstract: A method of cutting a material which includes a first step of cutting a material by laser beams emitted from a laser machine, and a second, subsequent step of cleaning a surface of the material cut by the first step wherein water is used as a solvent. The second step of cleaning may be performed by ejecting a jet of water or by moving a material impregnated with water along the surface of the material cut in the first step. The material impregnated with water may be a cloth, sponge or paper.

  • Patent number: 4916402
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting direct current magnetic flux deflection of an electrical transformer comprising a magnetic detector for generating an output voltage waveform, an integrator connected to the magnetic detector for integrating the output voltage waveform from the magnetic detector. Positive and negative peak value detectors are connected to the integrator for detecting positive and negative peak values of the output voltage waveform integrated by the integrator. A comparator connected to the positive and the negative peak value detectors compares the positive and the negative peak values to provide a peak difference.

  • Patent number: 4904945
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting direct current magnetic flux deflection of an electrical transformer comprising a magnetic detector for generating an output voltage waveform and Fourier series developer connected to the magnetic detector for developing the output voltage waveform from the magnetic detector into a Fourier series. An even number harmonic detector is connected to the Fourier series developer for detecting an even number harmonic in the Fourier series, thereby determining the presence of a direct current magnetic flux deflection. A process for detecting direct current magnetic flux deflection is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4763514
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring gas dissolved in an electrically insulating oil used in an electrical apparatus comprises a sampling device connected to a tank for sampling a portion of the insulating oil from the electrical apparatus, an extracting device connected to the sampling device for extracting a volume of dissolved gas from the portion of the insulating oil in the sampling device, and a measuring device connected to the extracting device for measuring the components of the dissolved gas. All of the volume of dissolved gas is delivered from the extracting device either by pumping the oil from the tank to the extracting device to force the dissolved gas to the measuring device or by using a plate of the extracting device to force the dissolved gas therefrom. All of the volume of dissolved gas measured is exhausted from the measuring device. The portion of the insulating oil remaining in the extracting device is returned to the tank.
