  • Publication number: 20080015778
Abstract: A vehicle motion control device is provided which can pre-determine an obstacle ahead of the vehicle and adequately reflect the vehicle operator's maneuver and intention in consideration of various travel information throughout an avoidance travel, thereby allowing each vehicle behavior controller to naturally provide adequate control for the vehicle to avoid the obstacle. During the avoidance travel mode, the device allows a vehicle behavior control section to provide necessary control in response to a change in steering operation and vehicle behavior. The avoidance travel mode is released when the steering operation by the vehicle operator causes the end of the avoidance travel to be detected or when the stability of the vehicle behavior is detected after the obstacle has been avoided.

  • Patent number: 6564140
Abstract: A correction factor setting unit sets correction factors for a front-rear traction distribution control unit, an anti-lock brake control unit, a traction control unit, and a braking power control unit according to the situation of a road and the shape thereof which are inputted from a road information recognizing unit. At this time, the correction factors are preset values according to the situation of the road and the shape thereof so that the actions of the control units will be balanced with each other. Consequently, the plurality of vehicle behavior control units mounted in a vehicle act efficiently according to the situation of the road, on which the vehicle is driven forwards, and the shape thereof while quickly responding to the situation of the road and the shape thereof. Besides, the actions of the vehicle behavior control units are balanced with one another.

  • Publication number: 20020060823
Abstract: A transmission line distance monitor/processor unit is provided in station equipment included in an optical subscriber system comprising the station equipment, a plurality of subscriber units, a transmission line for transmitting trailing signals from the station equipment to the plurality of subscriber units and transmitting leading signals from the plurality of subscriber units to the station equipment, and a star coupler for branching trailing signals and combining the leading signals. The transmission line distance monitor/processor unit sends a distance measuring control signal to each of the subscriber units, measures, based on a distance measuring signal returned from each of the subscriber units, the transmission line distance between the station equipment and each of the subscriber units, and judges whether the transmission line distance is larger or smaller than a reference value.

  • Patent number: 5261638
Abstract: A connection device attached to an outlet end of a pipe of pressurized fluid such as compressed air and used for connecting the pipe to a supply inlet of a utilization device, having an automatically operated valve built therein and arranged to be opened by only pressing it against the inlet of the utilization device to supply the pressurized fluid to the utilization device and closed by only separating it from the inlet of the utilization device to shut off any leakage of the fluid. In the device of this invention, the structure and arrangement of the automatic valve are improved for enabling size reduction of the device. Accordingly, the device of this invention is especially suitable in the case where a plurality of devices are arranged on a single base member and plural pipes connected thereto are automatically connected to and disconnected from corresponding plural utilization devices at the same time.

  • Patent number: 5063964
Abstract: A pipe coupling consisting of male and female elements for connecting and disconnecting a hydraulic or pneumatic piping used for industrial machinery. Each coupling element includes a check valve therein which is actuated by connecting and disconnecting operation to automatically open the passageway of the coupling when it is connected and to automatically close it when it is disconnected. The inventive pipe coupling is designed for use with a conventional automatic connecting and disconnecting device such as automatic coupling device for large scaled industrial machinery.

  • Patent number: 4967999
Abstract: A flow passage coupling unit is provided for connection and disconnection of pipings e.g. on a tooling die exchanger of a press or a former machine, in which both the cylindrical body and the valve head of a slide valve actuated for communication and discommunication between flow paths are slidably fitted into the small and large diameter bores of a main body respectively which is designated as a housing for the slide valve, so that the sliding distance of the slide valve can be determined by summing up of the sliding lengths of their respective small and large diameter bores. Accordingly, the entire length of the main body is minimized and thus, the flow passage coupling unit will become compact in size while assuring consistent action in coupling the flow passages. Also, the flow passage coupling unit is further reduced in the overall size by improviding both the sealing arrangement in the sliding regions and the opening arrangement in the cylindrical body.
