  • Patent number: 7445423
Abstract: A first motor 25 rotates, in one of two rotating directions, the first impeller 7 including a plurality of front blades 28 in a suction opening portion 15 of a housing 59. The second motor 49 rotates, in the other rotating direction opposite to the one rotating direction, the second impeller 35 including a plurality of rear blades 51 in a discharge opening portion 57 of the housing 59. A plurality of stationary blades 61 are arranged between the first impeller 7 and the second impeller 35 in the housing 59. When the number of the front blades 28 is N, that of the stationary blades 61 is M, and that of the rear blades 51 is P, their relationship is defined as N>P>M. A length L1 of the front blades 28 measured in an axial direction is set longer than a length L2 of the rear blades 51 measured in the axial direction.

  • Publication number: 20080050232
Abstract: The present invention provides an axial flow fan capable of increasing an air volume and a static pressure more than conventional axial flow fans, and also capable of reducing generation of noise. A guide wall portion 33 is provided to form a guide groove 31 between the guide wall portion 33 and one stationary blade 11. The one stationary blade 11 is disposed in the vicinity of a lead wire engaging portion 25 provided at a housing 3. The guide groove 31 receives a plurality of lead wires 10 and guides the lead wires 10 to the lead wire engaging portion 25. When the guide wall portion 33 is provided and the lead wires 10 are received in the guide groove 31, presence of the lead wires 10 may have less adverse effect on the air volume and the static pressure, and may generate less noise.

  • Publication number: 20080007128
Abstract: A brushless fan motor, in which cooling effect on a stator may be enhanced, is provided. A center through hole is formed in a center of a bottom wall portion of a first brushless fan motor. Vane portions are formed on an inner wall portion of the brushless fan motor and are formed into a shape which allows ambient air to be drawn in through the center through hole. Through holes are formed in an end plate portion of the first brushless fan motor in order to introduce the ambient air, which has been drawn in through the center through hole, inside a rotor cover.

  • Publication number: 20070122271
Abstract: An axial-flow fan according to the present disclosure can increase the amount of the airflow and simultaneously reduce the noise level. A plurality of stationary blades 11A to 11D are curved, in a convex manner, toward a rotating direction of an impeller. The plurality of stationary blades 11A to 11D are generally inclined so that discharge-side edge portions 11d thereof are located more forward than suction-side edge portions 11c thereof in the rotating direction. An inclination angle ?4 of each of the plurality of stationary blades 11A to 11D in the vicinity of the external end portion 11a is larger than the inclination angle ?3 in the vicinity of the internal end portion 11b. The inclination angle is gradually changed from the vicinity of the external end portion 11a toward the vicinity of the internal end portion 11b.

  • Patent number: 7156611
Abstract: An axial-flow fan with double impellers is provided that can produce a larger amount of air and a higher static pressure than can be achieved with conventional fans. The axial-flow fan with double impellers has a first axial-flow fan unit and a second axial-flow fan unit. The first axial-flow fan unit includes a first case, a first impeller and a plurality of webs that fix a first motor to the first case. The second axial-flow fan unit includes a second case, a second impeller and a plurality of webs that fix a second motor to the second case. The first case and the second case are coupled together to form a housing. The webs of the first axial-flow fan unit and the webs of the second axial-flow fan unit are combined together to form a plurality of stationary webs arranged in the housing. The number of front blades provided at the first impeller is set to five, the number of stationary blades is set to three, and the number of rear blades provided at the second impeller is set to four.
