  • Patent number: 7488118
Abstract: An optical coupling element disposed between an optical fiber and an optical element that face each other and optically coupling these two facing components includes a substantially cylindrical optical coupling portion whose opposite end surfaces respectively face the optical fiber and the optical element; and a projection projecting radially from a periphery of the optical coupling portion and being located closer towards one of the opposite end surfaces with respect to a center position therebetween. A diameter of the optical coupling portion at a position corresponding to a first end surface of the projection is substantially equal to a diameter of the optical coupling portion at a position corresponding to a second end surface of the projection. The periphery of the optical coupling portion includes periphery surfaces tapered from the positions corresponding to the first and second end surfaces of the projection respectively towards the opposite end surfaces.

  • Patent number: 6233112
Abstract: In the conventionl magnetic recording/regenerating apparatus,loading/unloading of a cartridge has been manually carried out, thus requiring a large force (about 1.5 to 3 kgf) for these operations by a spring force of a leaf spring, and making it difficult to ensure loading of the cartridge in the magnetic recording/regenerating apparatus. In the magnetic recording/regenerating apparatus of the invention, the portion between one end side and the other side of the linking member is rotatably supported on the bottom plate of the enclosure, and the supporting point as a fulcrum, the distance between the fulcrum and an end connecting the second sliding member is made smaller than the distance between the fulcrum and the other end connecting the first sliding member.

  • Patent number: 6233113
Abstract: In the magnetic recording/regenerating apparatus of the present invention, the linking member R expands, contracts and rotates under the effect of the elastic member 9d by causing sliding with a slight force by pressing the pressing section of the first member of the second sliding member S. The rotation permits discharge of the loaded cartridge and easy ejection of the cartridge with a slight force.

  • Patent number: 6188541
Abstract: Disclosed is a magnetic recording-reproducing device in which an engagement portion of a cartridge is locked by a locking portion of a first slide member; therefore as first and second slide members and slide, the cartridge also slides to be loaded and unloaded. The loading and unloading of the cartridge, therefore, can easily be accomplished with extremely little force.
