  • Patent number: 8747191
Abstract: In an endless belt type grinding tool, a tension bar includes a front portion and a rear portion which are divided from each other in a tubular holding portion. The front portion and the rear portion forcibly abut against each other when the endless grinding belt wound around the drive pulley and the idle pulley is applied with a tension by the spring. The endless belt type grinding tool includes a locking member which, when the tension bar is pushed into the tubular holding portion against the spring, engages with the rear portion of the tension bar to retain the rear portion at the pushed position against the urging force of the spring. Thus, in a state in which the grinding belt is removed, it is possible to reduce damage even if the tension bar, which is being pushed in, accidentally jumps out.

Abstract: In an endless belt type grinding tool, a tension bar 18 includes a front portion 18-3 and a rear portion 18-4 which are divided from each other in a tubular holding portion 16. The front portion 18-3 and the rear portion 18-4 forcibly abut against each other when the endless grinding belt wound around the drive pulley and the idle pulley is applied with a tension by the spring. The endless belt type grinding tool includes a locking member 26 which, when the tension bar is pushed into the tubular holding portion 16 against the spring 24, engages with the rear portion 18-4 of the tension bar 18 to retain the rear portion 18-4 at the pushed position against the urging force of the spring 24. Thus, in a state in which the grinding belt is removed, it is possible to reduce damage even if the tension bar, which is being pushed in, accidentally jumps out.

  • Patent number: 5261233
Abstract: In an open state of a valve, when a valve outside sleeve is rotated in the rear portion of a housing, a valve inner sleeve is moved forward to close a fluid channel, thus stopping supply of compressed driving air. Simultaneously, a front end of the valve outside sleeve is moved forward while it abuts against the rear surface of a retainer. Therefore, brake rods biased by compression coil springs are also moved forward, and front surfaces of the brake rods are abutted against a brake disk to effect braking, thereby immediately stopping rotation of a rotor. The urging force applied on the brake disk is the compression force of the compression coil springs.

  • Patent number: 5235784
Abstract: A handy air tool has a grip including a cylindrical tool holding section and a valve housing fitted therein. Both tool holding section and valve housing are molded from plastic material. Air supplying and exhausting passages are formed at the time of molding the valve housing and a hole for receiving a control a valve mechanism without requiring finishing. A least portion of air supplying ducts can be formed between the tool holding section and the valve housing. The tool is provided in the tool holding section with a locking mechanism comprising a hook portion extending from the free end of an operating lever toward the grip, and restricting elements for holding the hook portion so as to close a control valve member when it is necessary to keep the tool in a non-operating state.

  • Patent number: 5186603
Abstract: The air motor of the present invention has an air chamber for taking compressed air in a rotor body fitted to a rotary shaft, forms a jet hole opening in the tangential direction of the rotor on the periphery of the rotor, jets compressed air from the jet hole, and gives torque to the rotor by the reaction of the jetted air. An air reservoir is installed between the air chamber and the jet hole which are connected to the air reservoir. When the load of the air motor increases, the speed of the rotor instantaneously decreases. However, the decreased speed immediately increases because a lot of compressed air stored in the air reservoir continuously jets from the jet hole.

  • Patent number: 5069421
Abstract: A safety device for a pneumatic tool having a body and an operation lever and a valve stem lowered by the operation lever has an axially movable pivot shaft by which the operation lever is pivoted to one end of the main body of the pneumatic tool. A stop is formed on the pivot shaft so as to move between a resting position and an operating position together with the pivot shaft. A conical coil spring is provided to urge the operation lever upward by its torsional action and the stop as well as the pivot shaft toward the resting position of the stop by its compressive action. A receiving chamber is formed in the operation lever at a position where it coincides with the stop when the stop is moved to the operating position by the depressing of the pivot shaft. When, in this state, the operation lever is pushed downward to cause the stop to enter the receiving chamber, the valve stem is lowered and the operation of the pneumatic tool starts.
