    Abstract: A golf ball is disclosed, which comprises a core and a shell surrounding said core, said core composed of (a) a matrix formed of a first, relatively hard rubber and (b) a multiplicity of particles dispersed in said matrix and accounting for 10-65% of the volume of said core, said particles being formed of a second, relatively soft rubber and having a particle size of greater than 0.8 mm but not greater than 7.0 mm. This golf ball provides long carry and distance and gives hands a soft strike shock.
