  • Publication number: 20020078455
Abstract: A system includes a content information database which stores therein content information about contents associated with broadcast programs on a channel-and-time-specific basis that corresponds to a channel and a time of each broadcast program, the content information including at least one of content guide information descriptive of the contents and content location information indicative of locations of the contents on a network. The system further includes a content selecting unit which searches in the content information database for the content information of a specific channel and a specific time in response to a request from a user terminal indicating at least one of the specific channel and the specific time in a direct or indirect manner, and provides the content information of the specific channel and the specific time to the user terminal.

  • Patent number: 6224169
Abstract: A brake fluid pressure control apparatus for vehicles comprises an electric motor mounted on one side of a housing, an electronic control box mounted on the other side of the housing, and conductive members extending from the electronic control box. The conductive members are inserted in through holes of the housing, and have motor connection male terminals at tip ends thereof. Motor connection male terminals are accommodated in motor accommodation portions provided in the electric motor. The motor connection female terminals and the motor connection male terminals are engaged for electrical connection.

  • Patent number: 5620071
Abstract: The electrically controlled force transmitting apparatus includes a drive member having an electrically conductive surface and a driven member having an electrically conductive surface, which are arranged to be opposed to each other with a small space therebetween, a fibrous member provided in the space between the opposed electrically conductive surfaces of the drive and driven members, and a voltage supply source connected across the electrically conductive surfaces, whereby by applying a voltage across the opposed surfaces, there is induced a shear stress and a force is transmitted from the drive member to the driven member. The space in which the fibrous member is arranged is preferably filled with an electrically insulating fluid medium.

  • Patent number: 5099356
Abstract: The invention relates to an electrochromic (EC) device having oppositely arranged two EC electrode layers. The first EC electrode layer uses Prussian blue, osmium purple or ruthenium purple and accordingly takes on a characteristic color by electrochemical oxidation, and the second EC electrode layer uses a transition metal oxide which takes on a characteristic color by electrochemical reduction, such as WO.sub.3. The space between the two EC electrode layers is filled with an electrolyte solution. When an EC device of this type is left in the bleached state for some period of time and then driven for coloration, the density of coloration is insufficient because of a decrease in the quantity of electricity in the oxidizing and coloring reaction of the first EC electrode layer. The invention solves this problem by using, as the electrolyte solution, a solution of a lithium salt and a sodium salt in an organic solvent prepared such that Na.sup.+ ion amounts to 3-30 mol % of the total of Li.sup.+ ion and Na.sup.

  • Patent number: 4879509
Abstract: This invention relates to a voltage sensor for sensing a voltage on an electrically charged object such as a distribution line or the like, the sensor being disposed with an insulation space to the object. The voltage sensor includes an amplifier circuit for outputting a signal having a waveform similar to that of a displacement current inflowing from the electrically charged object via the insulation space, and a filter circuit for extracting a signal having predetermined frequencies from the output of the amplifier circuit and outputting an alternating current waveform similar to the potential of the electrically charged object.
