  • Publication number: 20240126081
Abstract: An eyeglass-type video display device includes a video generation device and an eyeglass body. The video generation device includes a MEMS optical deflector and a VCSEL mounted on the same substrate, and a planar mirror and a rotating mirror arranged above the substrate. Light emitted from an emission part is emitted obliquely upward from one longitudinal-direction end side of the substrate through the planar mirror, the rotating mirror, and a revolving mirror. The video generation device is attached to an arm of the eyeglass body such that the emission direction of the light becomes a direction that is obliquely forward with respect to an inner side surface of the arm.

  • Publication number: 20240103263
Abstract: An optical scanning device includes a standing plate part which has an inclined groove and a through hole at positions above a vertical cavity surface emitting laser (VCSEL) and a micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS) optical deflector, and which is fixed to a substrate. A plate-shaped mirror and a rotary mirror have one end portions thereof in the Y-axis direction supported by the inclined groove and the through hole, respectively. The through hole has the shape of a rotating body having an axis in the Y-axis direction as the centerline thereof.

  • Publication number: 20160348865
Abstract: A headlight system can include a laser driving circuit to drive a laser device, a detecting circuit to detect a current of the laser device, a wavelength converting material to emit light having a white color tone associated with the laser device, a receiver circuit to detect a light-intensity of the light via a photo detector and a controller. The controller can control the laser driving circuit while watching normal/abnormal states of an optical structure of the system. Thus, the disclosed subject matter can provide the headlight system, which can provide favorable light distribution patterns by using the light, even when a battery voltage returns the laser device to the normal state after the controller outputs a turn-off signal to the laser driving circuit not to emit the laser device by detecting the abnormal state in the optical structure such as the laser device because the battery voltage largely decreases.

  • Patent number: 9458977
Abstract: A vehicle lighting unit can reduce the load applied to the actuator for driving a reflecting member as well as can improve the durability of the actuator. The vehicle lighting unit can include a light source, a reflecting member configured to reflect light from the light source toward an illumination area, an actuator including inner piezoelectric actuators and outer piezoelectric actuators configured to cause the reflecting member to swing (turn) around X and Y axes simultaneously, to thereby scan the illumination area with the reflected light from the reflecting member horizontally and vertically, and a controller configured to control the inner piezoelectric actuators and the outer piezoelectric actuators such that a scanning frequency in the vertical direction of the reflected light is larger than a scanning frequency in the horizontal direction of the reflected light.
