  • Patent number: 11216032
Abstract: An information reading apparatus that is easy for a user to operate even if different functions are required for each situation is provided. A base module includes a control unit which performs control by using three functional modules assembled thereto, that is, a top module, a bottom module, and a back module, and a touch panel whose display content is controlled by the control unit. The top module is connected to a one end of the base module in the longitudinal direction, the bottom module is connected to the other end of the base module in the longitudinal direction, and the back module is connected to a rear side of the base module, which faces away from a display screen of a touch panel. The control unit recognizes each function on the basis of the information obtained from the three functional modules connected to the base module.

  • Patent number: 5223890
Abstract: A film carrier is incorporated in an image projecting apparatus and adapted to allow loading thereon of a microfilm of either of the roll film and sheet film types. This film carrier is provided with a base plate and a roll unit disposed as separated by a gap on the base plate and adapted to convey a roll film. A first moving member is disposed on the base plate in such a manner as to be moved both ways in the lateral direction of the image projecting apparatus. This first moving member is provided with a glass plate adapted to retain a stated image frame from the roll film in the part of the image projecting apparatus falling on a projected light path. Further, a second moving member is disposed on the base plate in such a manner as to be moved in the lateral direction and the longitudinal direction. This second moving member is provided with a glass plate for retaining a sheet film.

  • Patent number: 5153638
Abstract: An image projection apparatus which projects an image of a microfilm onto a screen and copies the image. Among a plurality of projection lenses, which are zoom lenses having set-ups of magnifications in correspondence to the sizes of text images and copy paper, a lens with a set-up of the intended magnification is mounted selectively on the apparatus for the operation. When the lens is mounted, it is initialized to a reference magnification regardless of the magnification which has been set, and in this operation the zoom value is memorized. Subsequently, the lens is zoomed by the memorized zoom value in the opposite direction so that the magnification which has been set previously is restored.

  • Patent number: 5140363
Abstract: An apparatus and method for detecting an image density of an original document is provided. The density of the image of an original document is determined during the changing of the zoom magnification of a zoom lens. A control signal for the image density is then utilized to control an imaging operation.

  • Patent number: 5065179
Abstract: A microfilm reader-printer having a reader mode for projecting an image of a microfilm onto a screen and a printer mode for printing the image on a copy paper. The screen is provided with indexes indicative of a plurality of sizes of a copy paper. For a copy paper of a size larger than a certain size, the index indicates a smaller size than the size of the copy paper. A lens of variable magnification type is used so that the magnification of the projection lens for the reader mode is made smaller than the magnification for printer mode when a copy paper of a size larger than the certain size is selected. The magnifications for the reader mode and printer mode are made equal to each other when a copy paper of a size smaller than or equal to the certain size is selected.

  • Patent number: 5049923
Abstract: Disclosed is a microfilm reader/printer which projects a microfilm image onto a screen and which makes a copy in an enlarged or reduced state of the image suitable to a selected copying paper size. On the screen there are provided marks which indicate image ranges in printing with respect to both vertically long and laterally long images, and a projective magnification of a lens is adjusted so that the profile of the image projected on the screen conforms to the marks. In copying, a change is made automatically to a new projective magnification calculated in conformity with a selected copying paper size, and a copy is obtained at the new projective magnification. When a longitudinal direction of the image projected on the screen and that of copying paper are not coincident with each other, both can be rendered coincident with each other by rotating an image rotating prism disposed in a projective optical system.

  • Patent number: 4903076
Abstract: An image forming apparatus of this invention is embodied, for example, in a reader printer. It possesses a stationary upper unit and a lower unit pivotally attached to the rear end part of the upper unit. A paper tray for receiving papers having a transferred image formed thereon is pivotally attached to the leading end of the lower unit. The leading end of the paper tray is slidably supported on the main body of the apparatus. While the lower unit is in the opened state, the leading end part of the tray is positioned at a level higher than the basal end part thereof, with the result that the papers held in the tray are prevented from falling down.
