Abstract: An educational service using communication lines is provided, in which multimedia educational materials stored in advance, including video images, are delivered online so that a conversation based on the educational materials can be held with an instructor for great educative results. The service includes: a bidirectional communication server (10) for conducting bidirectional multimedia communication; a contents management server (20) for storing multimedia contents; a contents delivery server (12) for delivering the contents stored in the contents management server to user terminals; and administration system (50-56), thus providing face-to-face services and automatic services in combination. The educational service also has the function of conducting lesson evaluations and level check tests automatically.

Abstract: A sophisticated information communication service system in which multimedia contents such as moving images, still images, and text are registered in advance and are fetched when required with holding bidirectional conversation functions using multimedia information including TV pictures and sounds for providing conferences, education, medical care, nursing care, various consultations, and the like. The information communication service system comprises: a bidirectional communication server (10) for conducting bidirectional multimedia communication; a contents management server (12) for storing multimedia contents; and a contents delivery server (14) for delivering the contents stored in the contents management server to user terminals. The contents management server has a contents archiver (16) storing material contents, and performs delivery based on a scenario which defines a combination of material contents along the time axis.

Abstract: A contents delivery method which eliminates the need for the prior synthesis and storing of delivery contents and thus allows a reduction in memory capacity even when the contents to be delivered consist of a plurality of pieces of material contents which are synthesized. Scenario data for defining the replay order of materials of contents to be delivered, or material contents, along a time axis is used to fetch and deliver material contents specified by the scenario data. The scenario data includes the attribute of delivery contents, and the attributes, replay times, replay modes, replay applications, source terminal operation information, destination terminal operation information, and location information of the material contents specified. There are also provided scenario templates and scenario dictionaries for scenario creation, and a function for creating scenarios automatically.

Abstract: To supplement the conversation amount which may become deficient in a conventional regular conversation and improve a practical applicability, a free talking service is provided which comprises: a step of generating a free talk classroom-table in the user connection table (20) provided in the multimedia communication server (10), a step of registering instructor terminal who can make a response in the above generated table, a step of receiving an entrance request from student terminals, a step of registering a student terminal for the table in case that there is a vacancy in the free talk classroom, a step of receiving an end request from student terminals, a step of deleting the student terminal submitting an ending request from the table, and to which a free entrance can be made.
