  • Patent number: 4677577
Abstract: An apparatus for statistically processing elevator traffic information by statistically processing traffic information on each building floor in each of a number of time zones of a day to generate group control information, comprising a first statistical data generator device responsive to the traffic information on each floor for issuing a total value of the traffic information as a statistical value, a second statistical data generator device for issuing as a statistical value the ratio of the traffic information on each floor to the absolute value of traffic information, and a control converter device for converting the statistical values from the first and second statistical data generator devices into the group control information.

  • Patent number: 4567558
Abstract: An improved system for elevator control system is disclosed in which the past traffic demand data that have occurred during a plurality of the same predetermined past unit time periods as the current time period are studied so that these past data may be reflected in the group control of the elevator operation. If the data for a day with different traffic demand from a usual value were studied during the study of past traffic demand that occurred in the course of said predetermined unit time periods, the resulting preestimation would be inaccurate. In view hereof, according to the present invention, any traffic volume data that is markedly different from the traffic demand so far encountered is not studied or, alternatively, the data for a day of the week on which the traffic demand is different from the usual value, such as Sunday, is not studied, thus enabling more accurate preestimation of traffic demand for the unit time period beginning with the current time.

  • Patent number: 4503941
Abstract: A supervisory apparatus for elevators wherein cages are respectively caused to disperse and wait at predetermined floors during an inactive elevator operation during which a demand for the cages has decreased; the demand magnitudes of the cages in each of a predetermined number of time zones into which one day is divided, future demand magnitudes are estimated for each time zone on the basis of the measured values, and a suitable number of floors are allotted to each cage on the basis of the estimated demand magnitudes so that the respective cages may take charges of equal demand magnitudes during the inactive elevator operation. Further, the waiting floor of each cage is determined at that floor of the allotted floors at which an expected value of a period of time required for responding to a next occurring hall call becomes the smallest.
