  • Publication number: 20010050812
Abstract: A rear projection screen 10 comprises a Fresnel lens sheet 11 arranged on the projection side, and a lenticular lens sheet 12 arranged on the observation side. The Fresnel lens sheet 11 has a lenticular lens 11a for vertical diffusion on its light-entering side. The lenticular lens 11a for vertical diffusion contains a plurality of convex lenses which extend horizontally, and these plural convex lenses are arranged with a constant pitch. Further, the diffusion angle of the lenticular lens 11a for vertical diffusion continuously increases, and, at the same time, the direction of diffusion is gradually inclined to the central part side as the distance from the central part toward the edge side on the screen surface increases. The diffusion properties (the angle and direction of diffusion) of the lenticular lens 11a thus continuously vary between the central part and edge of the screen surface.

  • Patent number: 6267087
Abstract: A water pump is provided on one lower side of a crankcase and connected to a water jacket on the rear surface of the cylinder block through a water hose. The outlet section of the water jacket is connected to the thermostat case near this connecting section. The thermostat valve is a bottom bypass type thermostat valve, directly attached to the rear surface of the cylinder head. The bypass hose is connected to the water pump and passes along the side of a starter motor and passes between the starter motor and a speed sensor. • Patent number: 6250268
Abstract: To effectively reduce noise caused by an attachment part of a cam chain guide without increasing a pressing force of a cam chain tensioner more than is necessary. A cam chain guide for slidably guiding a cam chain at a valve gear of a four cycle engine is made of resin. An attachment hole for an attachment bolt is provided at an attachment end section for the crankcase. Side surface projections are provided equally spaced at the periphery of an attachment surface surrounding the attachment hole so as to project from a normal surface. Annular recesses are formed at the peripheries of each of the side surface projections. Furthermore, inner surface projections are provided at the inner peripheral surface of the attachment hole equally spaced about the periphery so as to project in a central direction.

  • Patent number: 6244238
Abstract: A journal wall of an in-line four cylinder engine is provided with an oilway and bolt fastening sections. A center of a breathing hole punched in the journal wall avoids the oilway and the bolt fastening sections by being offset by a predetermined amount with respect to a center of a breathing hole formed in an adjacent journal wall. In this way, it is possible to make the diameter of the breathing hole sufficiently large to alleviate friction loss in the four cylinder engine without making the oilway complicated or shortening the bolt fastening sections.

  • Patent number: 6213458
Abstract: A sheet feeding apparatus for picking up, aligning, and feeding single sheets from a stack of a plurality of such sheets. The apparatus includes a driving means for the pick up, separator, and sheet feeder having a driving motor with a coupling in the drive path which is capable of providing a delay period between forward and backward rotations of the motor. There is a torque regulator between the coupling and a reverse roller which interrupts the driving force for a predetermined time. The apparatus also includes a control which stops the registration rollers while the single sheet collides with the circumferential surfaces thereof for alignment and, upon reversal of the driving motor, the sheet is fed while the reverse roller first stops for the predetermined time and then rotates in a direction opposite to the direction of feeding. Thus, the single sheets are aligned and double feeding is prevented.

  • Patent number: 6081403
Abstract: A tape-loading mechanism of a magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus according to the present invention has a tape travel system in which a magnetic tape drawn out of a supply-side tape reel is helically wound around a drum along a lead thereof by tilted guides respectively provided on inlet and outlet sides of the drum and tape guides respectively provided on inlet and outlet sides thereof, passed via a capstan and wound around a takeup side tape reel. A vertical position of the lead of the drum is set equal to that of a lower edge of the tape in a state immediately before the magnetic tape is loaded onto the drum. The magnetic tape is twisted in the middle of the tape travel system in order to cancel difference in tension between upper and lower edges of the magnetic tape when the magnetic tape is loaded onto the drum.

  • Patent number: 6052226
Abstract: A Fresnel lens sheet of a multifocal type is intended to be used in combination with a lenticular lens sheet to construct a rear projection screen for a rear projection television receiver. An annular portion (2) of the Fresnel lens sheet at a distance (R) in a range of 0.05 h to 0.5 h, where h is the height of the Fresnel lens sheet, from the optical center (C) of the Fresnel lens sheet, have the shortest focal length f.sub.min among those of other portions of the Fresnel lens sheet, whereby uniformity in brightness of a screen employing the Fresnel lens sheet can be achieved. Alternatively, a portion where an exit angle (.theta.) of outgoing light ray relative to a normal to the surface of the Fresnel lens sheet is the greatest, lies at a distance (R) in a range of 0.3 h to 0.8 h from the optical center (C) of the Fresnel lens sheet, to obtain the same result.

  • Patent number: 6046847
Abstract: A Fresnel lens sheet (11) used in combination with a lenticular lens sheet (12) to form a rear projection screen of a TV set, has Fresnel lens elements (15) on a front surface thereof. The Fresnel lens elements (15) include a first group of Fresnel lens elements (15a) and a second group of Fresnel lens elements (15b). The first group of lens elements (15a) has a first focal length (f.sub.1) which is greater than a second focal length (f.sub.2) of the second group of lens elements (15b). The first group lens elements (15a) and the second group of lens elements (15b) are disposed alternately. The above configuration provides an increased vertical angular range of a viewing region from which pictures displayed on the rear projection screen can be viewed satisfactorily, as well as an increased luminance of the rear projection screen.
