Patent number: 6745233Abstract: The object of the present invention is to speed up data transfer between processes required when there is a variable duplicatively assigned to a plurality of processes (duplicatively assigned variable) and any process among the plurality of processes substitutes data into the duplicatively assigned variable. In a distributed memory type parallel computer for executing a plurality of processes using a plurality processing devices connected via a communication network, each of the processing devices for executing at least one process among the plurality of processes comprises a scheduler for scheduling data transfer of the substituted data to each process if the process substitutes data into a variable a duplicatively assigned throughout the plurality of processes, and transfer means for carrying out data transfer via the communication network in accordance with the scheduler. Appropriate scheduling speeds up data transfer.Type: GrantFiled: August 15, 2000Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventor: Katsunori Takayama

Distributed-memory multiprocessor system utilizing plural multiprocessors with virtual storage space
Patent number: 6665700Abstract: In a distributed-memory multiprocessor system in which a plurality of processors have their respective memories, some of the processors are placed in redundant execution of writing into a virtual storage space. At redundant execution, each processor makes a determination of whether or not it is to perform the writing. As a consequence, only a single processor is allowed to write data into the virtual storage space, which solves the data transfer overhead problem. If a processor that has a memory with an area to be written into performs the writing, then the speed of processing will be further increased.Type: GrantFiled: January 4, 1996Date of Patent: December 16, 2003Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Yoshinori Sugisaki, Katsunori Takayama -

Patent number: 5177123Abstract: Self-lubricating polyacetal resin compositions and molded articles (e.g. "wear parts") formed thereof include a polyacetal base resin, and a self-lubricating effective amount of a silica powder in which a silicone polymer (e.g. silicone oil) is absorbed. The silica powder acts as a carrier for the silicone polymer so as to improve the dispersibility of the silicone polymer in the polyacetal base resin as well as to allow greater silicone polymer "loading" of the polyacetal base resin. As a result, improved lubricant dispersibility and sliding characteristics are achieved.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 1990Date of Patent: January 5, 1993Assignee: Polyplastics Co., Ltd.Inventors: Katsunori Takayama, Toshihiko Endo, Osamu Kanoto, Nobuyuki Matsunaga
