  • Publication number: 20220105884
Abstract: A connector protector for protecting an electrical connection between a wire and an electrical connector includes a body member. The body member has a through hole for accommodating the wire. One end of the body member includes a mouth portion and the other end includes a connector cover portion configured to cover the electrical connector. The mouth portion includes a lip having a first diameter that is greater than a second diameter of a through-hole of the body member is as to define a pocket. The pocket is configured to bound a circumference of the wire and is configured to hold a resin so as to form a water-tight seal between the body and the wire. In one aspect, the resin and the body member is formed of a thermoplastic polyurethane. The resin is melted so as to fuse with the body member.

  • Patent number: 10556283
Abstract: A grommet is configured to be secured onto a wiring harness even when the diameter of the wiring harness shrinks. The grommet includes a tubular body having an inner wall defining a through-hole which is dimensioned to hold the wiring harness. The grommet includes a hole configured to receive a soldering tip of a soldering iron. The hole is open at the outer surface of the first body member and closed by the inner wall, wherein the inner wall serves as a temporary barrier which prevents the soldering tip of the soldering iron from coming into direct contact with the wiring harness. Thus, the soldering tip can melt a portion of the inner wall to adhere the grommet to the wiring harness without damaging the wiring harness.
