    Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a vibration absorber composition, which has excellent vibration-damping properties in an atmosphere having a temperature not lower than the room temperature, has excellent elasticity, and can be molded by compression molding. The vibration absorber composition is composed of a compression-moldable elastomer obtained by mixing 100 parts by weight of an isobutylene-isoprene copolymer (IIR) with 10-70 parts by weight of a block copolymer, which comprises a block of a styrene monomer and a vinyl-polyisoprene block and which has a main dispersion peak of tan ? at ?40° C. or higher, and crosslinking the mixture; when the rubber elastomer has a peak temperature for the main dispersion X of tan ? at 100 Hz from 0 to +60° C., a peak value is 0.4 or greater, and the value of tan ? of the rubber elastomer is greater than the value of tan ? at 100 Hz of the IIR for the main dispersion Y of tan ? thereof at 100 Hz in a temperature region not lower than the peak temperature.

    Abstract: A grommet which is formed from a self-lubricating rubber, and can be fixed by means of a wire such as electric wires and an adhesive tape. The rubber grommet (10) is fixed to the electric wire (14) with the adhesive tapes (12, 12) and inserted into a through hole (22) penetrating through a partition (20) to provide sealing between the electric wire (14) and an inner wall of the through hole (22). Rubber forming the grommet (10) is a self-lubricating rubber containing an oily polyalkyl carbonate, which is represented by the following chemical formula: Ri—O—CO—O—[CH2CH2C(CH3)HCH2CH2—O—CO —O]n—Ri wherein n is an integer of 1 to 8, and Ri represents (i—C7H15).

    Abstract: A modified thermoplastic resin or elastomer composition having excellent paint adhesion is obtained by dynamically heat-treating a peroxide-crosslinkable olefin type copolymer and/or an olefin type plastic and a monomer containing at least one amino group and/or an unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof in the presence of an organic peroxide. This thermoplastic resin or elastoemr composition is valuable as a material for an interior automotive trim. If a layer of this thermoplastic elastomer composition is laminated with a polyurethane layer, a laminate having excellent tensile strength and heat resistance, which is especially valuable as an interior trim of a vehicle such as an automobile, is obtained.

The surface layer is comprised of a composition comprising: a polyolefin resin and an ethylene/alpha-olefin copolymer rubber, in which only said copolymer rubber is, or both said copolymer rubber and at least a part of said polyolefin resin are partially crosslinked. The product is attractive as an artificial leather.
