  • Patent number: 8205548
Abstract: There is provided a method of winding up a transfer film and a device for performing transfer printing on printed sheets of paper, capable of eliminating the need to frequently replace the transfer film, thereby allowing the transfer film to be used over a prolonged time. According to the method of winding up a transfer film, the transfer film fed from a feed roll through a feed path is pressed onto a fed printed sheet to transfer patterns of the transfer film, and then the transfer film is wound up onto a windup roll through a windup path. During the rewind of the transfer film from the windup roll to the feed roll, a lateral position of the transfer film running along the feed path is detected, and the feed roll is moved in its axial direction to follow a lateral positional change of the transfer film.

  • Patent number: 7832443
Abstract: A surface treatment apparatus for printed sheets that is capable of preventing radiation of UV rays onto printed sheets when out of use including a varnishing section for applying UV cure resin varnish on a printed sheet; a cylinder for conveying a printed sheet with the UV cure resin varnish applied thereon at the varnishing section; a film pressing part for pressing a transfer film onto a printed sheet on the cylinder; and a UV radiation part for curing UV cure resin varnish of a printed sheet onto which the transfer film is being pressed by the film pressing part. The UV radiation part is positioned close to the cylinder when the film pressing part is positioned close to the impression cylinder; and the UV radiation part is positioned away from the cylinder when the film pressing part is positioned away from the cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20090078364
Abstract: There is provided a method and a device for performing transfer printing on printed sheets of paper, capable of reliably transferring patterns at predetermined positions on the printed sheets. The device includes a transfer section that conveys a transfer film while conveying the printed sheets and repeatedly transfers patterns of the transfer film onto the printed sheets. A tension adjusting part that adjusts tension on the transfer film is provided to transfer the patterns of the transfer film at the predetermined positions on the printed sheets.

  • Publication number: 20090000745
Abstract: It is an object of the present invention to provide a surface treatment apparatus for printed sheets that is capable of securely preventing radiation of UV rays onto printed sheets when out of use, while efficiently radiating UV rays onto printed sheets when in use. There is provided a surface treatment apparatus that includes a varnishing section for applying UV cure resin varnish on a printed sheet in a printed sheet conveying path; a cylinder for conveying a printed sheet with the UV cure resin varnish applied thereon at the varnishing section; a film pressing part for pressing a transfer film onto a printed sheet on the cylinder; and a UV radiation part for curing UV cure resin varnish of a printed sheet onto which the transfer film is being pressed by the film pressing part.

  • Publication number: 20080022875
Abstract: A sheet-fed printing press includes a printing section for printing on sheets of paper fed from a sheet feeding section, and a surface treating section for treating surfaces of the sheets of paper by pressing transfer films respectively onto the sheets of paper printed at the printing section. The surface treating section includes a downstream cylinder having a gripper for gripping each of the sheets of paper fed from an upstream cylinder for conveying the sheets of paper printed and fed thereto, and a film transfer mechanism that presses the transfer films respectively onto the sheets of paper on the downstream cylinder while at the same time conveying the transfer films in the same direction as the direction of the downstream cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6026745
Abstract: A tail edge side part 50b of a plate 50 disposed on a cylinder surface of a plate cylinder 1 is pushed in a direction of an arrow 100 with a blade 39 rotated in a direction of an arrow 91. At that time, a tail edge side lower plate 6 maintains an initial position. And the tail edge side part 50b is clamped by closing a tail edge side upper plate 7 with a condition that the tail edge side part 50b is in contact with the tail edge side lower plate 6 by the rotation of the blade 39.

  • Patent number: 5927202
Abstract: A cam shaft 23 is rotated 90 degrees when the plate 10 is fitted on the plate cylinder 60. Thus, as a result of the rotation, a flange part 3T of the tail edge side clamping base 3 is pushed by movement of a spring base 15 which receives a pushing force generated by springs 16. Therefore, the plate 10 is pulled in a tension applying direction. Since the tail edge side clamping base 3 does not receive the limitation of the cam shaft 23 directly, the tail edge side clamping base 3 can be moved in a direction parallel to a shaft of the plate cylinder 60. Thus, a diagonal image adjustment of the plate can be done easily.
