  • Patent number: 6624105
Abstract: The present invention discloses an oxide ceramic fiber/oxide ceramic composite material comprising primary composite materials each consisting of (a) an assembly of ceramic fibers composed mainly of a metal oxide and (b) a metal oxide ceramic which includes the ceramic fiber assembly (a) therein, the metal oxide of the ceramic (b) being different from the main component metal oxide of the ceramic fiber assembly (a) and the amount of the metal oxide ceramic (b) being 1 to 85% by weight relative to the weight of the ceramic fiber assembly (a), and a metal oxide ceramic which is a matrix for the primary composite materials and which includes the primary composite materials therein, the metal oxide of the ceramic being the same as or different from the main component metal oxide of the ceramic fiber assembly (a); and a process for producing thereof.

  • Patent number: 6432583
Abstract: According to the present invention, there are disclosed: a process for producing an anode material for lithium secondary battery, comprising graphite particles and a crystalline carbon layer covering the whole surfaces of the graphite particles, wherein the whole surfaces of the graphite particles are covered with a carbon layer in a state that the surfaces of the graphite particles and the carbon 002 plane of the carbon layer are parallel, which process comprises subjecting graphite particles to a treatment for chemical vapor deposition in a fluidized bed type reactor at 900 to 1,200° C., using a mixed gas consisting of an organic substance gas and an inert gas, the molar concentration of the organic substance gas in the mixed gas being 2 to 50%; and an anode material for lithium secondary battery, produced by the above process.

  • Patent number: 4812271
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for continuously producing highly flexible long .alpha.-alumina fibers of small diameter according to the slurry spinning technique. Also disclosed are a specific spinnable slurry containing an alumina powder having an average particles diameter of 0.1 .mu.m or less, the specific thermophysical conditions under which the slurry is spun into a multifilament yarn, and the well-balanced residence time conditions under which the multifilament yarn running as a single continuous fiber is prefired and fired to form a long .alpha.-alumina fiber.
