  • Patent number: 4224061
Abstract: A high corrosion resistant and high strength medium Cr and low Ni stainless cast steel which is produced from material including predetermined amounts of elements at predetermined weight percentage and remaining portion substantially of Fe. When the above material is further subjected to heat treatments under predetermined conditions, stainless steels superior in yield strength and having stable corrosion resistance against circumstances influenced by strong acids are presented.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 1978
Date of Patent: September 23, 1980
    Assignee: Kubota Ltd.
Inventors: Hisashi Hiraishi, Toshiaki Morichika, Shinichi Murakami, Katsutaro Akamatsu

  • Patent number: 4138279
Abstract: A method of producing stainless steel products superior in intergranular corrosion resistance and applicable to ultrasonic flaw detection, in which austenite group stainless cast steel containing 5 to 40% of ferrite phase is employed as base material, part or all of which base material is subjected to plastic deformation or plastic processing such as pulling, pressing, bending, tension processing and the like, with subsequent recrystallizing heat treatment for the improvement of intergranular corrosion resistance by making its cast structure fine and reducing surface roughening developed due to deformation during the plastic processing, and for making it possible to successfully apply ultrasonic flaw detection to such cast steel products.
