An electromagnetic relay has an electromagnetic block provided with a movable contact spring 14 swung by current flowing in a coil, two fixed contact terminals 22 and 22? each having a fixed contact, a backstop 23 having two movable contact abutment portions, and a base block 2 for retaining the above components. The base block 2 has a base portion 20 having substantially a rectangular shape, fixed contact terminal retaining portions 21 and 21? extending vertically from two opposing sides of the rectangle so as to retain the two fixed contact terminals, and a backstop retaining portion 24 extending vertically from the center portion of one of the remaining two opposing sides of the rectangle.

The electromagnetic relay includes an electromagnetic block having a couple of moving contacts, a first stationary contact and a second stationary contact both being connectable to external wiring, which are composed of uniform parts or components.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic relay includes a spool, a coil wound on the spool, an armature inserted in the through hole of the spool, a yoke fixed to the spool by fitting, hinge springs, a movable spring, a hinge spring fixing portion, an attaching/fixing portion, and at least one terminal. The armature operates upon excitation of the coil. The yoke has first and second opposing upright portions. One end of the armature is in contact with an end face of the first upright portion, and the other end thereof opposes the end face of the second upright portion. The hinge springs set the armature at a predetermined angle with respect to the yoke, and urge one end of the armature against the end face of the first upright portion to ensure magnetic connection. The movable spring has a movable contact and extends from one side of the hinge springs. The movable spring is connected to the armature.

    Abstract: A polarized electromagnetic relay has a movable block which includes two U-shaped magnetic plates, each of which has first and second ends. The plates are fixed on individually associated and opposite poles of a permanent magnet to oppose each other. A core has one end placed between the two magnetic plates. A yoke is magnetically connected to the core, the yoke having a fork on one end thereof. The fork is placed outside each of the two magnetic plates. A spool with a coil mounted thereon has a center hole through which the core is inserted. The movable block is supported in a manner which enables it to move in a direction which is parallel to the magnetic axis of the permanent magnet.
