  • Publication number: 20200233379
Abstract: The present invention is a cell observation device in which two-dimensional distributions of phase information and intensity information are computed based on hologram data obtained with a holographic microscope. An image display screen (100) displayed on a display unit includes an image display area (120) having two image display frames (121, 122). A phase image and intensity image corresponding to the same observation range on a cell culture plate (12), on which the cells to be observed are cultured, are displayed in the image display frames (121, 122), respectively. The wells on the plate, which are almost invisible on the phase image, are clearly visible on the intensity image. Conversely, the biological cells, which are almost invisible on the intensity image, are observable on the phase image. An observer specifies the range to be observed within a well on the intensity image, and subsequently enlarges the image corresponding to that range so as to observe the cells in detail on the phase image.

  • Publication number: 20150227211
Abstract: A gesture input method includes acquiring motion information of an individual based on a gesture of the individual. The method also includes performing normalization and position-coordinate conversion on the acquired motion information, where the normalization is a correction of at least a first body data of the individual into a second body data that is indicative of a normal figure provided as a base model. The method also includes matching, based on one or more parameters, the normalized and converted motion information against a template to recognize the gesture of the individual, where the one or more parameters include position, velocity, acceleration, distance, and direction. The method further includes generating information for operating an object on a screen on the basis of the normalized and converted motion information that is matched to the template.

  • Patent number: 9032336
Abstract: The present invention provides an input interface that a human can operate naturally and intuitively using a human gesture (motion), by including means for acquiring motion information based on a gesture and input interface means for generating information for operating an object on a desktop of a computer on the basis of motion information. In this case, the motion information is matched against a template for recognizing a motion of a user and a matched event is outputted so that the object is operated. The object includes a pie menu in which a menu item is disposed in a circular form. A user is allowed to selects a desired menu item in the pie menu in accordance with an angle at which the user twists a wrist thereof.

  • Patent number: 5332386
Abstract: Combustion facilities includes a combustion apparatus having a burner, a fuel control valve disposed along a fuel feeding pipe, a air control valve disposed along an air feeding pipe. An optical sensor detects radiated light originating in combustion flame of the burner, and converts it into a first electric signal. The first electric signal is a composite signal consisting essentially of an intensity signal element reflective of the intensity of the detected light and an oscillation signal element reflective of fluctuation of the turbulent combustion flame caused by the air feeding to the burner. A sensor amplifier, which is connected to the optical sensor, extracts both the oscillation signal element and an intensity factor representative of a real intensity of the radiated light originated in only the combustion flame, from the first electric signal, and generates a second electric signal by dividing the oscillation signal element by the intensity factor.
