  • Patent number: 7528902
Abstract: A liquid crystal display capable of expanding a color reproduction range in the case where a cold cathode fluorescent lamp is used as a light source is provided. A green phosphor of the cold cathode fluorescent lamp includes BaMgAl10O17:Eu, Mn. The wavelength range of a green emission spectrum is located on a shorter wavelength side than that in the case where the green phosphor includes LaPO4:Ce, Tb, so the spectral width of the green emission spectrum is narrower. Therefore, an overlap between the wavelength ranges of green display light and red display light is reduced. Moreover, the spectral characteristics of blue display light (blue spectral characteristics) are set so as to satisfy predetermined conditional expressions. An overlap between the wavelength ranges of the green display light and the blue display light is also reduced.

  • Patent number: 7504518
Abstract: Disclosed is a process for producing a blocked isocyanate compound represented by general formula (III): wherein R1, R2, Q1, and Q2 are as defined in the specification, characterized by comprising reacting a pyrazole compound (I) with an ethylenically unsaturated group-containing isocyanate compound (II) at a temperature in the range of 0° C. to 90° C. The production process can efficiently produce a high-purity blocked isocyanate compound without substantially producing by-products. In the production process, unlike the prior art technique, since there is no need to use any inert solvent such as toluene or xylene, safety to the human body and environment is excellent and the production processes and equipment can be simplified. The blocked isocyanate compound produced by the production process contains no residual inert solvent and is suitable for use in extensive fields such as various coating agents, adhesives, and molding materials.

  • Patent number: 7179572
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fluorescent screen forming method, a fluorescent screen forming apparatus and a cathode-ray tube. In the fluorescent screen forming method according to the present invention, a transfer roller lowers a transfer sheet to somewhere above the inner surface of the panel and the transfer roller moves up to the end edge positions of the inner surface of the panel, whereafter the transfer roller moves downwards onto the end edges of the inner surface of the panel in unison with the transfer film to start pressing the transfer film. Therefore, the transfer roller can reach the end edges of the panel, and hence component layers of a fluorescent screen can be transferred up to the end edges of the inner surface of the panel. A fluorescent screen forming apparatus according to the present invention includes a transfer film supply means, a transfer roller, and a control means, wherein operations of the above-mentioned transfer method are executed.

  • Patent number: 7147890
Abstract: This invention relates to coated particles used as phosphor particles for a phosphor screen of a display and a coating method for such particles. In the coating method of the present invention, first particles having a mean particle diameter of 3 to 10 ?m are fluidized, and slurry drops obtained by suspending second particles having a mean particle diameter of 5 to 500 nm are generated from a spray nozzle or the like. Then, the fluidized first particles and the slurry drops are collided with each other, and thereby the second particles are coated on the surfaces of the first particles. Thereby, this invention is able to present coated particles wherein each surface of the first particles is uniformly coated with the second particles that are more microscopic than the first particles.

  • Patent number: 7045180
Abstract: According to the present invention, in a thermosensitive transfer film F in which at least a fluorescent substance layer 3 and an adhesive agent layer 4 are deposited onto a base film 1, this adhesive agent layer 4 is produced by mixing at least a pigment corresponding to a color of the fluorescent substance layer 3, a thermosensitive agent and a photosensitizer. Also, a display device manufacturing method comprises the steps of forming patterning by exposure and development and using the adhesive agent layer 4 as a color filter layer after the fluorescent substance layer 3 and the adhesive layer 4 have been transferred onto the inner surface of the display panel from this thermosensitive transfer film F. Thus, in the thermosensitive transfer film in which layers are formed by the transfer process, work efficiency of the transfer process can be improved, and the sharp pattern can be formed.
